Default Resetting long term fuel trim in ECU?

My long term fuel trim is -36 and dropping! I have figured out that it was dropping because i was running richer than the o2 map in the F/IC called for, so the ECU adjusted for it. (Well thats my understanding)

Does anyone know if unplugging the ecu for an hour or so would reset that value?

I did try reverse engineering the fuel trim. Set my fuel map at idle to -30, and the o2 to about 1.3v i think (12afr) in hope that the ECU would adjust the long term fuel trim to compensate for the extremely lean idle. However - clearly didnt work. I think it only adjused the short term fuel trims since it was only at idle, i didnt really want to mess around with other ranges in the map. Any other suggestions?

You could try unplugging the ECU or the Battery for an hour or so, and the computer might reset itself and it's adaptives, I know disconnecting the battery for a while will reset the Check Engine Light
