For now though, they're making dealers eat the cost.

it depends on how many people see the problem - and more importantly how many people make a stink about it.

checked mine on my auto.....fine after about 3k. but what worries me is that that bracket has another spacer on it that moves it out about 1/2". Hopefully that doesn't put more stress in that area......

If anything, it would put LESS stress on that area. I think part of the design problem is that the impeller drive shaft and that mount isn't at a perfect 90% angle. That spacer may actually remedy that. If you could take a pic, that would REALLY be helpful.

Wow. Look at that. That's TOTALLY different from what I have on my SC install. That would explain a LOT! Thanks so much for that!

just checked ours ( 13k on sc, 24k on car ) , all is ok.
phew.
but i will say this: it does suck even having to worry about looking for something to go wrong.... in the old days you tweaked a car, played with said car, and many times repairs followed. We fixed, and motored on....
But when you pay 3-4k for a factory mod....... not that we don't keep an eye on our rides anyways, but should we really have to???

I'm glad in these times the net is around, so info like this can get in the hands of everyone who needs it.
Thanks to all who keep us informed; it's appreciated...

Hey. wouldn't be cool if TRD had a recall on the superchargers and give us better and more powerful superchargers, I think we need an increase in our HP.

i think the recall would be for that one piece. They wouldn't give us a larger blower - different shaft - and smaller pulley - but hey - I guess it would be a nice dream.

Default polling to gauge interest.

the machine shop i went to said the first one would be over $800. OUCH! how many modded s/c (voided warranties, i assume) do we have with broken mounts? any interest in buying a steel cnc bracket/mount. lemme know. may put this together.
