I'll toss in some money for the cause if I guarantee myself a bracket. I just don't trust the crappy cast aluminum one.

Sorry for waiting so long to post. Mine is busted too. I showed my service manager on Friday and the new bracket is on order. My parts manager was amazed that this bracket was the only supercharger part that he can order. You'd almost think TRD knows this is a common problem.

what are the dealers saying is the cause of it? Are any of them blaming after market header, or upgraded pulley?

at first they said it was my header but then i showed them than its not touching. there's a hair line space between the allen nut and one of the primaries plus its wrapped too.

as was told that there is a spacer and i guess this is the fix.

i'll try to take pix after i pick up my car tuesday. hoping the rental car is an xB =p

it MAY be the fix. It might just be the Auto Tranny kit.....

I'm not familiar with both installs so I can't say for sure.

Yo, just an update on mine. I took it all apart today and removed the sc. Darn dealer when they put it back in torqued it to a CRAZY amount. The moron tech had to have used a impact on it for it took a 18" bar to pop them loose. Really ____ed me off. Not much material to weld onto but will give it to my guy to see if he can make it stronger....

^^

so is this more likely, less likely or equally likely to happen on the auto fit kit version?

and has anyone with auto had this problem? and what about the earlier question someone posted that the new units were now "pre-torqued"...??

that makes a lot of sense. i was wondering why nobody answered that guy. ok so that part down...

Question1:
what about the A/T. i am a forced induction neophyte. what should i be concentrating on in the pictures between the M/T bracket setup and the A/T? which one is more likely to fail? or are they both in danger?

Question 2:
if the bracket was thicker/stronger would it not be so torque intolerant? is that a shoddy design flaw? and 25 lbs of torque doesn't seem like much. the windshield wiper arms call for 15-18. and the front strut brace calls for 60-67. i have to assume the engine would cause a lot of harsh movement...isn't 25 lbs kind of weak? or do they want it to account for shimmy?

just trying to get an education. thanks.

Well this figures. I went and checked mine, and its busted.
So this is problem number 2 that I have had, and at least they sell the part seperate, cause if this was gonna end up being another total kit I was going to tell them to bring it back to stock and give me my money back.

Well, looks like its gonna be time to get this fixed again.
