I dont want to throw his name and shop out there because like i said hes really only a subaru and evo tuner and wouldnt want a bunch of others calling but if I were to go with you, he would tune you i guarantee it.
I think he's talking about Harmans Jarod. Yea they are great on Subies, Evos, etc...but tunes for those cars run at a grand. Who knows what he'll charge you...granted cheaper than those cars but nothing beats church's which is down the street

To answer your question in your 2nd video. No its not supposed to sound like that.

almost sounds like compression surge making the turbo sping backwards...

2nd vid = Holy compressor surge batman!

Try loosening your bov like almost all the way out. You want it as soft as possible without giving idling/stalling problems.

As for the crash.... sucks man its good your not injured though.

there's a nut on the top of the bov to controller it's sensitivity.

dude, that sux.
So, I gues you were able to get your tranny fixed unde warantee? What was the issue? Did it end up being due to the turbo being on their in the first place?

I don't mean to sound like a dick, as I do feel bad for you, so don't take this the wrong way...but...karma anyone?

about this compressor surge, is it just by making it softer all the way or is that some other problem?? If so how can I fix that cause tomorrow Ill change it to almost all the way softer.

Meaty, yea the tranny was fixed under warranty. The issue was the torque converter and the solenoid. they just cant fix those 2 parts so they gotta replace the whole tranny with a new one. Karma, no lol i dont believe in it cause that is getting fixed also under that ladies warranty. not paying for anything to be fixed but just sucks that it happened lol. i aint the one to care too much but it would be different if the car was totaled or i was dead, then i might say karma haha

the nut on the bov will make it more sensitive to back pressure and it will open easier. i've heard that most ppl put it on the softest setting.

btw, are u using a mechanical boost gauge?

alright I just tested it with the softest setting, almost all the way out and im still getting the surge. so im not liking this right now. Im using the glowshift boost/vac gauge. Im guessing its mechanical cause it says mechanical hose on the description of the product. should I just get another type rs bov and see what happens?

sounds like a vac problem to your bov. i didn't even hear it let off. check your vac lines.

i dont think its a vac problem to the bov, i have the vac line thats right near the throttle body going right to it. i have no leaks anywhere else. i know its aproblem with the bov though because im running around 20-24 in vac. its weird i just cant figure it out. when i took the pin out all the way to adjust the soft/hard i felt the air sucking in so im guessing thats normal. i dont know i got no clue on this
