I e-mailed this guy, says his kit is great and install ez. they also have a kit called stage II for tc's. sounds prettygood.

one question i had is how do auto's release boost? with manuals its when you let off the gas, but with an auto since your always on it... does it ever realease the boost?

 

Yes - when you let off the gas!

also, where have you guys mounted your tranny coolers? im assuming right in front of the radiator, but if you had pics, and where your mounting points are, that would be great. as well as where you tee into the coolant line.

 

Yes, right in front of the radiator. I can't get a good pic cuz the bumper/intercooler's in the way.

 

does it interfear with the location on the FMIC? i would assume its pretty close if not touching.

where are your mounting points? radiator core support?

 

I didn't install it myself so i'm not 100% Sure.. lol. I'll look but I don't know if i can find out for sure.

Well if you drive the poop out of it, you are probably already putting alot of stress on it. F/I would just make it worse. I myself only get up and on it a few times. I rarely hit boost during the week. And only sometimes on the weekends. Its just fun to know it's there when i need it.

 

Out of curiosity, anyone with an auto tc in the SoCal area? Or in Cali altogether? I'm tossing back and forth whether to TRD Supercharg (despite the low numbers) my 07 or turbo it but i'm worried about smog and blah blah blah..just wondering if anyone here has to deal with any of that or if its worth it? So far I'm getting really interested in the ZPI kit because it seems reliable enough

edit: I also have the TRD front strut tower brace and I noticed on ZPI's website that some of the piping from the turbo kit looks like it might get in the way of the brace, I can't tell if it's jsut the angle of the photo or what, if anyone can confirm this as well it'd be apreciated.

Putting a turbo kit into tC in cali is illegal but I've always wanted to do it! Well, I'm too chicken to do it lol. But you guys who have a turbo and live in cali rock! Just be careful with cops
