a gain of 157hp 151tq...

and your going to a better turbo than what i had so idk what the turnout will be...have you ever gotten a dyno run in stock form? its nice to be able to compair and really see what your gains are after turbo.
first dyno i ever got was supercharged @ 7 psi with weapon-r header+s-pipe and trd exhaust, and i made 209 whp. then with full 3 inch exhaust, i made 212 whp, and then with the 9.5 psi pulley, i made 225 whp, all these pulls done in like 2 weeks. my highest torque was about 190 lb-ft.

so yeah, with this turbo kit, i should hit 300 whp and 300 lb-ft or so, i'm also doing a world racing decendant intake manifold and complete fuel system upgrade. tuning will be with an aem f/ic.

sounds like your setting yourself up for some decent power...you going to use the same dyno?

If you're going with a fuel return setup, I'd suggest stepping up to a standalone.

i'm getting the turbo and fuel system and dyno all done at the same shop, it is literally 6 miles from my house, so if there is ever a problem, i can drop in anytime.

when i was commisioning my exhaust and discussing a turbo with them, they told me they have already made a complete fuel system upgrade for the tc, they had a customer with a tc that had a fully built motor and a greddy turbokit making 400 whp, i actually saw it at the shop there one day.

they told me the price of it installed, and i figured, well, if it is there, and everything, why not get it done too? so if i want more power down the line, the ground work is already there.

as for a standalone, well, if i feel like getting the AEM standalone, or dezod finishes their version, or whatever may come, maybe i'll get it and retune the turbo. but for now i'm just going to give the car about as much power as it can take and still run reliably on the stock engine.

wish ya the best of luck bro...kinda wished i had upgraded my fuel system when i had my kit...11psi was about all i could reliably go without haveing odd afr spikes...im sure i could have done more with the 550cc injectors only if i had a bit more pressure behind them...

christian i was sitting here thinking, why doesnt the man just bring it to ptuning where he knows it will be done right and then i completely forgot about your past experience with them. thats a complete shame bro! i dont know this other shop you are talking about but i hope you have a better experience with them. I say you me and mo install your kit haha. You can take the money you saved on install and pitch in for my turbo haha!

you forget that part of the turbo kit installation is fabricated a 3 inch s-pipe. so unless you or mo has a mandrel pipe bender, and some welding tools and such...it ain't going to happen.

if you have the ptuning exhaust, why do you need a 3" s'pipe?

anyway, i planned to order a garrett GT3071R .82 a/r turbo from NurSpec, but then todd tells me that "it has to either have "a B cover, or a 2871 compressor cover" and that he isn't talking about the wheel in the turbine, but the actual compressor cover.

so me and geoff are confused, i keep being the middle man between him and todd. geoff is asking me questions like do i need a slip fit, or what the inlet/outlet sizes are etc, so this wasn't working because i keep asking todd the questions that geoff is asking, and all todd seems to care about is where geoff orders his turbo from, and i don't know why that matters, but it does.

i finally give up on playing middle man, and ask geoff to try and figure out what todd is talking about with this turbo (btw, geoff is the man with all this patience and service he has shown), and todd doesn't tell geoff what he needs to order, but tells him that he'll talk to his vender/distrubtor or whatever, and tell him what i need to order.

why todd can't just give me a part number through email, SL or text is beyond me, but the todd works in mysterious ways, so is there anybody out there with a simple kit and this kind of turbo can tell me what kind of turbo i need to order? i'm trying to wrap this turbo kit up and get it installed this month.
On t3/T4 hybrid turbochargers, there is typically 2 different compressor housings which you can use. One is a "B" cover, which is more compact and made for space confinement issues. The "E" cover is more widely used and is the default by choice for most companies. Their diameter measurements are different. The "E" cover is significantly larger than the "B" cover. Here is an old photo I took for someone showing the different between a "B", "E" and "S" cover.

i don't have p-tuning exhaust, i have custom made 3 inch exhaust. and i have the first half of the turbotoyotas downpipe, which is also 3 inches, so i need a 3 inch s-pipe to complete the exhaust system. and since this is custom exhaust and a uniquely fabricated turbo kit, the s-pipe either has to be from todd, or custom fabricated while installing the rest of the kit.

paul, thanks for helping. i'm glad you didn't just stop by to gloat that i shoulda just ordered my kit from you in the first place.

luckily todd and geoff sent me confirmation that the details have been wrapped up and my turbo has even been coated to match the rest of the kit. sent geoff my payment, now i just gotta wait for tracking numbers and parts to arrive.
