Was driving a few weeks ago n my tire blew out and i had to move my sub box to get out the spare tire, no wires came unpluged except for the ground wire. I plugged the ground wire back in but now my amp wont power on. all the fuses are fine and everything is hooked up right. when i take a wire n touch it to the remote and to the power at the same time it powers on for like 2 seconds and then shuts off again. anyone have any ideas!?

 

was the car on when you took the ground out?

 

the car was off at the time when the wire came unpluged, but i didnt realize it had came out until i had got back to my house, so the car was turned on with the ground wire unpluged after i had got the spare on and ____

 

not good. i think something is wrong and you probably overloaded the amp. its not looking good, i'd take it to a shop and have them run some tests on it.

 

ya i dunno whats wrong, it still powers on for like a second or two if u touch the wires together so i mean it should still work right? maybe ill just get a new one...

 

what kind of amp is it?

 

its an alpine amp, not exactly sure of the model, been so long. was just a inexpensive one at the time
