amp settings help
ok, i am installing an amp that will power the front and rear components that i have installed, not a sub. the amp is a blaupunkt THA475PNP. plug and play with the required adapter cables. hookup is not a problem. my question is the settings namely low pass on/off. high pass frequency seting, and voltage level settins. the high freq is selectable between 10-250hz. the voltage .3-8v.
i think the low pass should be turned off, is that correct? if so then i only have to adjust the high pass freq, correct?. that only leaves the voltage, there i am lost. am i doing this right, or am i completely lost?????
thanks for any assistance!!!!!

ok, it is installed and this is what my settings are, seems to be working ok. haven't cranked it up yet.
low pass switches OFF - sound was extremely muffled with these on.
voltage level about mid way between .3 and 8
high pass freq selector about 1/3 from 10 hz to 250 hz.
before i crank it up and blow it, anyone see a problem with these settings?? i never was any good at setting up an amp.

That seems like you've got it set up correctly. Feel free to lower the HP frequency a bit - but be careful with the volume ****! Listen for the speakers to tell you how loud and how low they can play comfortably.

My bad, I was looking at what you wrote again, I didn't realize that you are connecting it to components.
LP OFF, do the high pass about about 80hz or above, listen to your speakers to see if there is any distortion. If not then the components can handle the 80hz HP.
