Default Aux input with aftermarket HU

If I replace my stock HU with an aftermarket unit that has a rear AUX input, will I be able to use the AUX input that is inside my armrest?

nope.... unless you get creative... and usually when you start splicing wires like that... it tends to get noisy..

Damn I was really hoping to be able to use that still. I guess the steering wheel controls are gone too?

I think you can still use you aux inputs, but he's right, you'll prboably have to splice ..........that means SOLODER! the two together. As far as interference goes.....use GROUNDED aluminum or tin-foil. I don't recomend it, but YES, it can be done.
No, you can still use your steering wheel controls, but it'll cost ya about seventy bucks. It's call a pac-swi-x . find it at

http://www.virtualo.net/index.asp?Pa...WPROD&ProdID=5

ok, i kind of got ripped off a little, but i didn't have to wait for it in the mail either!
Anyway, it's gonna take you a little while to put it in, and it's best if you put it in before you fully install your head unit. It'll save you some time and effort when you do put your hu in. hope this helps.

Depending on the aftermarket HU, it would still work.
You could find the steering wheel interface here http://www.pac-audio.com/
But they also sell it on ebay too.
Hope that helped
