Just did mine! Went to lowes they _____ed at me saying they couldnt cut it company policy.

SO i went across the street to home depot and after waiting forever for the person come to cut it, they said they couldnt cut it cuz it didnt fit on the machine. SO i took it apart and just gave them the metal key and they cut it no problem! They didnt charge me at all, i just tipped the guy for helping me out ! :D

Definetly a good product, just took a while to get to my house from japan. About 16 days.

^^ Pretty much same scenario as me. Everyone said they couldn't cut it blah blah. Took it to Ace and the guy whos been cutting keys for the past 10yrs easily took the challenge. I absolutely love my flip key!

Well thats good.. So im still wondering, the Toyota key case comes with its own "motor" we can say? How our keys come with that triangular shape looking thing that actually has the buttons to press. Or we just put the one that comes with the scion key?

Let me see if i can understand what your saying. Are you referring to the lock unlock and panic buttons? if so yes you just swap it to the flip key. In the DIY it is called the Guts just follow the write up on the first page it really isnt rocket science bud

Ok so I'm having a problem with the key being cut. I went to home depot and try told me the same cr*p about company policy so I just got the blank key he made because I needed one. I check the key, and it won't turn on the ignition. Basically it was cut wrong because it won't turn. So Good thing I didn't use my eBay key. Then I go to a locksmith and he cuts the key and I go to my car and check it, it works. Then I get home, using the eBay key, that is cut already, reasemble it and now it won't turn around in the ignition. Yet my other scion key would turn but with a little shaking to the key. Did this happen to any of you guys?

the first two days was a tiny tiny roughness to turn but after it turned like a champ. The key has never given me trouble. If the key goes into the ignition the black smith cut it correct so that thing about it wont turn you might have to turn your wheel to unlock the anti theft crap to turn the key and that should turn on the car.

Yeah lucytheshedevil this mod is cheap and very nice its one of those must do mod.

i wouldnt be able to tell you because i have never seen that key open but id say it should fit but i just got the dino direct one since you can just transfer everything over but the guts( lock unlock and panic button) might not fit into the key you see on ebay
