Does anyone have a mykeyport?

Just an FYI:

OPTIONS FOR INTEGRATING CHIPPED AUTO/MOTO KEYS INTO THE KEYPORT :: Keyport can accommodate a wide variety of chipped auto and moto keys. Chipped keys take up two ports in your Keyport – one for the Blade and one for the chip insert.

anyone in the sfbay area able that has done this project successfully willing to help me out with my key? i can put in a few dollars for it. most of the key places here won't touch it cuz they don't want to responsible for damaging the chip.

Update:

Had my key for 2 years now. No issues at all, still works like a champ.

I only have a couple of physical comments. There is some play where the key is being held in now, meaning that the key wobbles a little and doesn't sit as stiff as it used to. Hopefully won't be a problem in the far future. There are also scratches on the front faceplate, but that's just normal wear.

bought the key for 14 bucks off dino. Went to lowes but the dood couldnt cut it because the machine detected the chip . Ended up getting it cut at some rinky dink key shop in the middle of a parking lot lol. Broke my old key into pieces to get the chip out. Works like a champ. I concur.

Is it possible to remove the inner parts of the original key first, then get the key cut?

My original is falling apart as well. I got a second ebay version, but getting it cut took 2 days, and LOTS of phone calls. Home depot/lowes/local locksmiths all refused.

I FINALLY sweet talked my way into getting it done at walmart....Not looking forward to doing that again.

The above pictured keys are well designed. Mine looked different.
I am another success story. I melted plastic and glue with a hair dryer (not mine) and the lock smith cut the key perfect on first try. Home Depot refused to cut the key. I'm kind of glad cause that forced me to go to a professional with a real cutting machine.

All buttons worked and the switchblade still works.
