I have an 05 tc with the factory stereo and I was going to purchase a different year stock stereo (the one with the volume **** in the middle, 2007?). My question is will I be able to just swap them? Would I need to modify the harness at all?

go with a double din...then you can opt for nav built in, so no more need for sprint nav or google maps.... plus u dont have to worry about the stupid wallet holder with the new dash kit for a single din

i know on the 06+ radio doors have a cut out for the volume round **** so when you close it, it has room for that. I've seen that before, Not sure how that would bother ya if you did get it. might get a new radio door from an 06+?

That's the problem. I haven't picked it up yet(This weekend). All I know is that it is a 6 disc color changing OEM Scion Radio from a 08'.

if you do have to modify it, its very simple. i had to cut mine out to fit the kenwood i have.

the door is two pieces. held together by 4 screws and a spring that has a screw in it.

pull em apart, bust out the dremmel...and BAM...modified
