Default Need an alt don't you? well, here it is-

I have been on emails and\or the phone with-
Excessive Amperage
Powermaster
Ohio Generator
Iraggi alternator

And here is what it comes down to-

These results are for an 07+. From what i understand, I "think" all yr tCs use the same type of alt but do not quote me on that. I know they all use the same technology but am assuming the same style...

Excessive - does not understand the technology therefore cannot build.
Powermaster - does not build Toyota parts.
Ohio Generator - has been working on understanding the technology but does not believe it's possible. They are very helpful but cannot build one and know nothing at this time.
Iraggi - Completely understands the alternator in this car and has personal experience manufacturing, selling and installing H.O. alts in tCs and xDs as they share the same style.
tC's use a hairpin stator, which according to Iraggi, has been around since 2000 and is very familiar with this alt type.

Alternators made for your tC will be internally regulated which is "idiot-proof".

The largest alt capable of being made and installed on a tC is a 300A alt max output at 2,400rpm (engine speed), idle output standard at 800rpm (engine speed)
Idle output for 300A alt is benched at 140A output.
Very high output!

If you live on the eastside of America, I would highly advise you, if interested in an alt, to drive to his shop to have him install it for you.

There have been of problems with Iraggi from customers but problems with a company can be misleading if taken out of context.

I'm not saying this is what is happening but if customer service is that terrible, he would have already been shut down, simple as that.

I live within 5hrs from him and will have him install one for me later this year.

Install charge is $150 for install and large gauge wiring.
$100 for limited lifetime replacement\service\exchange warranty.
Price for alt - PM me. Not good business to post unlisted prices publicly.

Good info, thanks.

Granted I have no use currently for a H.O. alternator, but the information is useful.
