Merc- once you took out the pillars did you find a way yet to get them back on? Also- where did you find a guide to take down the head rest? I think I might try this myself to get at the center black bar that is causing all the rattling in my car....thanks for the reply

Ya i reused the oringial clips to mount them. there's no guide to get the headliner off. All you need to do is removed both lights in the headliner front and rear. Then the rest of the headliner is zelcoed up except around the sunroof. just pull down on the black piece around the sunroof and it will come down.

No tricks or tips other than that? Does it help to have multiple people doing this with you to prevent the headliner from creasing?

can anyone exlpain to me why the auto-dimming mirror can't be installed if you have the airbags? that's what one dealer told me at least, which totally sucks. I can't imagine how the two would conflict.

On that very first pic on the first page, what do those two metal tabs do that are right above the front dome light? I was thinking about cutting a hole and mounting a ScanGuageII there, and now it looks like I'd have to move those to make it fit.

in this picture? Really not a damn thing. The dome light and zelco hold the headliner.
