Default Radio skipping and then sounds would go out

the sound would skip after its playing for a little bit and then completely stop playing... quite annoying

cd, radio, aux all skip

anyone have any idea how to fix it or have experience with it?

i think it has something to do w/ overheating

so after amost two years of having this problem... i finally got another stock radio and i just swapped them today. the problem still exists, the sound would skip and then stop playing as the player keeps running.

so that means its not the unit overheating... could it be the harness? the wiring? how do i make my radio work if its not the radio thats broken -_-

could it be the connector to the speaker overheating/defected? what do i do w/ overheating wiring/harness?

i remember my stereo kept skipping and speakers kept cutting out, but i have the pioneer avic d-3, then after awhile my battery died. so i jump started it, and its fine again! im not sure if the battery is your problem, but that was mine.
