I tried the code you posted up above...and it does take it off of the uE! However..it is still quite pricey! This being my first install, I think I am going to start light layers and build up until I get to the point where I am happy with the results to price ratio.

but if you think about it... most people on the forums who use the "light layers" use more than 1 anyway.... so might as well make it easier on yourself (and save time) by just doing one thick coating... no? (time is money.... right?)

I did the same as Dug. When I did mine it was in late Winter in Washington (WET outside). If you do it during summer it should not take as long. But when I did mine it took about 3-4 hours to dry. I did find it very useful during the winter to run your car and turn up the heat and AC to pull out the moisture. It is water based.

The only issue that if you do 1 thick coat is you will find that it will somewhat run. I am not sure if you do your hatch that you would like to have this crap in your hair, eyes, or on your car.

If the UE is anything like the v1SE2, it isn't really stinky. I did mine over a period of a week, so the stuff had time to air out before I put the panels back on. Even on hot days I don't smell anything now.

What about the V1? I hear people complaining about asphalt based deadening. Is the V1 still asphalt based?

I heard that V1SE is butyl..but on their site it tells me asphalt on the description page.

...hmmm..weird. I just checked and they both say butyl. I swear last week when I checked the site said asphalt...

v1 is still butyl.

there are a lot of people that dislike eD's products and will do anything to bash them. I have both v1 and v1se in my car and i couldn't be more happy
