Color code for the interior of a 2005 tC: FA14
Color code for the interior of a 2006 tC; FA14

No change. If you see blue now, you'll see blue in the new ones. If you see gray, black, yellow, pink or hazel, you'll see the same for the 2006.

I'm not sure it's as simple as that. I read many reviews of the tC which had pictures of the interior in which the seats CLEARLY LOOKED BLUE. Other pictures look gray. I know that there is no option to choose the interior color, so initially I thought that they USED TO OFFER BLUE (maybe last year) but they don't anymore. But now I think it's more likely that the blue-ish interior comes only with some exterior colors, like IIP or AP. So maybe you get an interior color (blue or gray or red) based on the exterior color, and you can't independently choose it.

I really don't buy the "it's really gray, but it looks like a different color from different angles" reason. In many pictures I've seen the seats are UNMISTAKEABLY blue. Of course, I could be wrong, but I doubt it with all the tC owners here swearing that they have a blue interior. I'm just surprised that a dealer hadn't noticed it. You need to stop looking at spec sheets and start looking at the actual interior color of different cars (with different exterior color).

btw, I really like the blue seat color, it is so much nicer than the all-gray interior. I just want to know for sure how to get a tC with that seat color.

Here's one blue seat pic:

No need for fussing, I just went and stared at my Flint Mica's interior for 30 seconds, and (now that I'm not dizzy anymore, lol) I can tell you that from a distance in the sunlight it looks all black (I am referring to the seats, specifically). As you get closer teh thread in the pattern looks lighter, and to be honset I had a hard time telling if it was blue or gray! I finally concluded it was a charcoal color, but it really does temd to look blue when you are right up on it from a certain angle, and I could see how a camera would pick that up. Not really blue though, but maybe in a blue car it looks even bluer, further tricking the eye! Anyway I just looked at it myself and so dont believe pics!

well this got me thinking so today i took a good look at mine.. and it looks grey from a distance, but up close with the sun on the seat, I could see the steel-blue thread interwoven into the checkered design.. so yeah now i see why they appear "blue" sometimes.. a pretty cool effect..

but definitely not just grey..

that pic is pretty interesting. it really looks like it's purple. and the seat almost matches the exterior color. maybe the exterior reflected off the camera lens or something like that and created that effect.

yeah, compared to the rest of the door, the fabric part doesn't seem black. we have some weird fabric in our cars.

No it's not weird, it's just color matched to the exterior. Is that so hard to believe, given that it was obviously done in the red RS 1.0 ?

Nope...not RS1.0....The exterior is not red, it's BCP.
If you look straight at it, it's the black with some sort of blue-gray stitching inside the holes...just like everyone else's.
I don't know what to say about it other than it's pretty cool.
(As long as SHE likes it...why should I care?) ; )

sorry, but your theory is wrong. all 05s, except for the RS 1.0, have the same interior color scheme. it's just that parts of the fabric appear blue to some people, and apparently, gray to others. the interior is not color matched to the exterior, except on the RS 1.0.

So....to get back to topic...The '06's are supposed to be the exact same fabric/color??

As mentioned on the previous page, the interior color codes are the same for 05 and 06, so yes.

Yes, I totally realize that you exterior color is BCP dude. After all, I'm not color blind like some of the people here, and btw I used to have a black cherry Nissan Altima.
I am just saying that from the picture you posted, your interior seat color doesn't look gray, but rather some sore of cherry-red fabric. Are you saying that is just a an illusion ?!?!? I would need to see proof that it's really gray/blue. And btw, the one color camp here doesn't even believe that blue exists in the fabric, they say it's really gray that only looks like blue. And now you're saying that it's really blue that only looks like cherry..... I still think they use different colors, but in a very subtle way. For example, the silver exterior car is FOR SURE 100% DARK GRAY seat fabric. But the IIP and BCP have a different fabric......

Actually after looking at your pictures again, I am convinced that your seat/door fabric is not gray, and defintely not the same color as in the SSM tC I test drove. So beleive it or not, the fabric color is different in different cars (IT IS COLOR MATCHED TO THE EXTERIOR COLOR).

that just means that you can't CHOOSE the interior color. It doesn't mean that it's not matched to the exterior.

one thing for sure is that your SSM tC has gray interior. If you want to prove me wrong, try to find someone that sees blue in YOUR interior seat fabric, or take a picture that makes it look like it's blue...IF YOU CAN.

Let me guess that no one has ever thought that your interior is blue, and that no matter how many pictures from how many angles you take, your interior color will NOT LOOK LIKE BLUE CAUSE IT'S REALLY NOT BLUE.

Just realize that some other tC have a different fabric then yours.

this guy is unbelieveable.... ok, user1234, everyone who has seen the interior of my silver tc, including myself, has seen blue in the seats, not gray. that's why i thought the 06 tc interior color changed when i saw the pictures of the 06 tc interior and the interior looked gray in the pictures. it wasn't until this thread was started that i realized that some people see gray in their 05 interior. however, the fact remains that there is only one frickin color code for all 05 tc interiors, except for the rs 1.0, and that color code is being carried over to the 06s, as stated in previous posts in this thread (for that person: insert credit here). so those of us who see blue in the 05 will see blue in the 06, and those who see gray in the 05 will see gray in the 06, once again stated by someone in previous posts (and for that person: insert credit here). there is only one, i repeat, one interior color scheme for the 05 tc that is carrying over to the 06 model year. the thing that is occuring here is that people see the one interior color scheme differently. some see blue, some see gray, there is only one interior color.
