mine popped out twice within the first 100 miles.... I'm at 7k now and havn't had a problem since.

 

I suspect that a lot of people who bought tCs were first time manual trans owners or at the very least, weren't very expieranced. Probably didn't have it fully in gear when they released the clutch.

I have 2600 miles on mine in 4 months of driving with no problems.
