Default Anyone else had radiator problems?

Well my radiator got replaced at like 4 thousand miles or something like that, it had a leak all down the side of it. So they replaced it and gave me a brand new radiator.

Well I just got my Dr. I radiator diversion panel.

I pop the hood for the first time in a 1k miles. There is coolant splattered on my valve cover and around the engine bay. The coolant level is low and now I get to go take it in and find out where the leak is comming from.

Anyone else have this happen to them yet?

I'm off to the dealership so hopefully it's just a hose or something easy, I hate leaving my car. My sister works there so they don't treat it like the other cars that come in.

I'll update if it turns out to be anything special.

damn! how many problems does this car have? i mean it's like everytime i visit this board it's one thing after another.. what's next? a topic that says "why did my engine blow up".. I'm not trying to be mean but wow.. this is definitely NOT "toyota quality"..

i keep thinking they keep this up, those who defected from Honda might be looking to go back.. that is pretty sad..

why over react? its an extrealmy isolated problem. are you having all these problems? then i would be upset.

I really dont think that the relaibilty is slipping. Actually its pretty good considering it was only a year from concept to production for the tc.

You have to remember that many people come to this forum for answers to their problems. That is the only time they post. Of course, lots like to post more serious stuff like girls beside their tC.

But seriously, this forum is like the front page of the Wash Post. If you read that page every day you would like the USA is the worst country in the world and wonder why millions are pouring over the border.

BTW, hate the radiator problem. Should be a easy diagnosis. Better than the hatch rattle which no one can figure out a fix.

Good luck.

One of the hoses just came slightly lose from when I was last in. They just tightened it up and topped off my fluid. So the radiator is fine nothing wrong with the new one. I just gotta clean up my engine bay a little bit now.

you have to take into account that it's a new car, from a new company. of course there will be problems, it may take several years to work out the bugs.

Yeah, I tried that "fix" and no luck. My rattle is further back.

There is really no large scale "bugs" with the tC. Scion is a new company but comes under the Toyota ownership/craftsmanship. tC has the Camry engine and the Avensis frame so those have been out for years.

When I had my Corolla (which is a mainstay and been out for YEARS) I had a recall. Now some minor bugs will happen to ALL cars.

Now if the tC gets a recall on a transmission or engine failure, then that is what I call a problem.
