just got back and it still rattles but ill drive more to see if its any better
the tech also heard dash noise and sunroof.
so he went to do the sunroof tsb and found one of the bolts that he was suppose to tighten was stripped so he needs to order me a new sunroof. when i bring it back for the sunroof he will also take more time in fixing the rattles. It never ends its been there 5 times now. at least he heard all the rattles when we went for a test ride

hey atticdog.. yeah a stripped bolt/screw would definitely cause a lot of noise.. sounds like when the first technician did the tsb for the sunroof they didn't put the screw back in place right.. i kinda think once this is fixed, i hope, your noise has ended.. it's frustrating!!

Mine does rattle and the struts are on back-order... I had a friend sit in the back and listen... the loudest rattles where coming from the rear light in the roof... He pressed on it and it was a dramatic improvement... Im going to tell them this when I take it back for the rear struts... and today I started getting a plastic hitting plastic sound from the radio area... WTF...

ive been to two toyota dealers for the problem... Both of them told me it was due to the subwoofer... which is total bull____ so they refused to work on it.. then I called Scion and they told me that there was no TSB on it yet, so there is no way to force them to check it without having to pay... im sick of this... it rattles like my friends 98 cherokee with no insulation and rubber. I get one from the sunroof (taken in 3 times now), one from my radio door which toyota refused to check because my of aftermarket stereo... and a few from my dash... im at 10,000 and its like crap right now... shouldve bought something else..

I just took my tC in today to Rahal Scion on Camp Hill, PA...they finally kept it and will fix the rattle (hopefully)...

They want to reseat the glass on the hatch and replace the struts themselves and do a few other things. They had to keep it over night and it'll hopefully be fixed for tomorrow evening so I can pick it up. If there is anything different about the setup, I'll post pics...hopefully the rattle is gone!

the sunroof frame parts came in so i brought it in last night
they called me today and said it would be a few days to install it.
Then they called me back after speaking to a toyota techincal rep or whateever TFS stands for.
The TFS doesnt wasnt want them to touch my car untill he is there and goes for a ride with me.
So monday they are suppoosed to call me with a date he will be there.

That sucks. Sounds like they are trying to avoid paying for it or fixing it under warranty. Hope they do the right thing and fix it under warranty.
