Dash Rattles?
Anyone else getting a ton of dash rattles? I have one in my steering column that you can hear over rough roads and bumps, and another constant rattle deep behind the the middle console that sounds like one of those old wind-up toy cars. Both are driving me insane.
Anyone else?
Anyone else?
Rattles are very very common. Out of the 3 scions I've ridden/driven, all have had ATLEAST one rattle. Mine has 4-5. Front left near the vent, rear hatch, right rear, center dash, and one really loud annoying one. These are the ones that I hear just driving down the road. If I hit a bump or rough road, then it pretty much sounds like the car is about to implode.
If like me, you bought a new car to get away from rattles/noises/issues like this, then welcome to my club of getting screwed by scion. I suggest you take it into the dealer, and bug the hell out of them. My car has been in there 3 times now, and no luck.

I'm getting a buzzing sound that comes somewhere from my center console. It mainly happens when I change lanes and hit the reflectors or hit a particularly rough patch of road. It's annoying and I haven't been able to track it down and eliminate it yet. Buzz while you can because your days are numbered.

If you hate the tC so much ("slow, corners like a pig, stereo is like monkeys raping each other") use your state's lemon law and get rid of it so you can start complaining on the RSX forum or something.
Mine has about 3K miles on it and the dash start to buzz too! It's coming from the center console, very hard to track it down while you're driving and dangerous to do so too. Anyway, even my friend's new Mecedes C class has problem like that. Another friend of mine has a VW Golf and it has different sounding rattle coming from different direction, depends on the road condition. I guess we have to live with it considering manufacturers are cutting corner to save cost to remain competitive. As long as it's not loud like a *****, we'll be just fine.

Believe me, the second it does, I'll be all over it, but until it applies.

The only rattle my car has is if i shake the middle a console (cupholder) i hear a very faint noise. Not a squeek, just like plastic hitting each other (obviously because I am shaking it).
I've got a couple annoying rattles. Have one somewhere on the driver's-side door, one in the hatch area, and this mini rattle in the console. My roof also snapped and creaked but I had that fixed. Every other rattle im letting go, because as soon as I get those ones fixed new ones will surface. Hope you like listening to loud music dude LOL!
