Tell your parents to buy you a crappy Hachi-Roku and you have to show "respect", "care", and "love" to the car to make it look and run like it was back when it was brand new or better...

Also you might need a girl friend who knows **** about cars or if not, get rid of her so you can concentrate on the ****** ****** car!

As much as I agree with this statement, as I bought my own car at that age; I would say if his parents want to buy him a car might as well I'm sure his parents work hard to provide for their kids and he should really focus in school as college is just around the corner.

You know........things just come too easy for these kids these days, because they never have to make any effort to work for it. I hope his parents will think twice before getting him a car.........don't spoiled them. I can bet you......he will take care of the car when it's brand new, but couple years later......he is gonna to treat it like dirt because he did not pay for the car!!! No offense........last time I heard, there's a girl graduated from high school....I mean.....JUST HIGH SCHOOL...what's the big deal.......her parents got her a brand new BMW M3 series........so if she graduate from college.....is she gonna to get a LEXUS LS460 from her parents????? No offense.....doing good in school should not be motivate by luxury items......because it is their OWN DUTY as a teenager, not their parent's duty!!!! I am pretty sure my cyber buddies and the scion community will agree w/ me!!

Bah not all kids treat their cars like dirt after a couple years. My first car was my parent's old 1992 Honda Accord that I got when I was 16. I loved it and took care of it until it was sold in Nov. '06. Then my dad bought me my tC. I take care of it and I know I will take care of it until I decide to sell it in another 7-8 years.

Like said above, my dad doesn't want me to get a job so I can concentrate on school. School is much more important than making $10/hr...
