My names Steven I own a tc 08 and loving it modding it every chance I get. But enough about me, Ive been in talks with NIA about making fiberglass tail light lids like they have for the headlights. But we want to see how much of a demand there is for them. If there is a large enough demand they will start to produce them. So I guess just post that your intrested and maybe we can get another quality part on the market for the tc!

 

I feel like there would be less demand for a tail light lid than a headlight eyelid because all the aftermarket tails, unlike headlights, reposition certain lights to different spots so any one tail light lid is going to effect every tail light differently - and may cover up something important.

For instance the OEM '08 tails have nothing in the uppermost part of them - but on TYC's that's where the turn signal is.

 

very good point it would work for the 07 and down and tyc, i wonder if there is anythign they could do to make the lid work nicely on the 08+

I dont have any pictures yet, im still in talks with NIA what is something youd liek to see for a tail light lid, keep in mind the stock 07 and older have the red, and the 08+ new desgin

 

I mean, i personally LOVE my '07 tails. But i would like to see someone use it. hahah

 

would it be something along the same lines as what the overlay that bluebat sells that blocks out the turn signal other than a small piece of it on the bottom?

 

well another member on club sciontc.com suggested clear covers, as well as tinted ones that you can remove or put on when you want for example at shows. Also if they're were clear you could even paint on you own design and make it look different. Im looking for more suggestions so i can present it to NIA, if there is enough demand they will try something
