If you do this, continue with cutting your springs, detaching your exhaust, and buying a huge tach for your dash board with a big red shiny light that says "SHIFT!!!!!"

Damn you didn't learn anything about cars in Driver's Ed last quarter did you!?

Feel free to do this guys, see if you can ruin your engine before the warranty expires. It's PERFECT!

1) the intake is in the engine compartment, but that doesn't mean particles don't come flying up with relative ease.
2) When your going at a high rate of speed air flows throughout the car more and more
3) You obviously have no idea the purpose of the filter. MY GOD why even have a filter? For all those stupid idiots who don't know nothing about cars like YOU? Man, if you knew as much about cars as you did grammer... oh wait, you do.
4) There are particles flying in the air, whether it be simply dirt, or something else, that you may not even be able to see. Filters block these from entering the engine and damaging it. There have been studies that show CAI with aftermarket filters or the larger-pore (K&N) filters do lower the life of engines, although not drastically and it depends on where you are. Nonetheless, this will damage your engine. I imagine it will only take a large rainstorm or a few thousand miles for you to realize the error in your logic

oh yeah, P.S. Thanks for making yet another post that I'm sure will be circulating around car enthusiast forums as representation of the idiocy found on scionlife.
