My new TC (325 miles) has developed a rattling noise from somewhere in the vicinity of the passenger side rear (hatch area). I took everything out and the rattle continues. It doesn't go away as the car warms and is most noticeable when I go over bumps. Also the radio door doesn't open. I try pushing different areas of the door and sometimes it will open but most often it does not not (the radio turns on and the stations change as I try to push the door open). I guess it is time to visit the dealer. I only have had this car for 10 days.

 

I have the rattle too, but mine ONLY happens when I go over this patch of bad road, and since it's rated at 40MPH I dont complain much. If the rattle becomes a problem you should have it looked at, but dont be bummed. The tC has a stiff suspension which is why it can corner the way it can, so you end up sacrificing some ride quality. Considering you forked over about 18K for the car dont feel upset. If it persists take it in to have it looked at.

With the radio cover, u need to push in the bottom center. Push it in hard, it goes in about 1/3 of an inch and then releases. I also wouldn’t recommend that you fold that thing down too often, b/c it’s kinda flimsy.
