I've just accepted the fact that every person in michigan despises my car. Ricer/Tuner or not. It's just the american car pride frenzy around where i live.

Okay, this thread needs to be seriously LOCKED.

Simply look at the very first post and tell me that this fool "Nebraska_tC" isn't referring to people as "ricer(s)" ...
(i've taken the liberty to underline the quote incase some people can't see it)
I can take a wild guess that he's stereotyped that group of people "ricers" even though I doubt all of them even drive Japanese automobiles let alone drive at all (high schoolers... ).
I hate to do this, but what if some fool came up to you and called YOU a potato skin or a french fryer specially when your driving a Japanese car? Now reverse it back and you'd realize your doing the exact same thing by calling someone a "ricer".

I find this thread completely offensive.. From the title to the very first post to all this hating on Hondas. Hondas are a solid car, and if it wasn't for Honda entering the "global" market (with their motorcycles) I highly doubt Toyota would be where it is today.

So, leave your hate @ the door, because it's not welcome here!

Seriously.. lay off. You have absolutely ZERO information saying he is talking of people of asian decent. There is one thing I hate more than actual racist people.. its people that try to play the poor victim using the race card. Turning everything someone says into some type of racial comment. If you are offended.. leave. No one made fun of any race of people here, and most of us are adult enough to see that.

And really, I could care less if you call me cracker, potato skin.. whatever you like. I am grown up and pretty much figure anyone talking smack rather than backing it up isnt worth my time anyway. If it offends me, I simply dont continue reading it and complaining. That would just be looking for a reason to be offended.. or an excuse to start confrontation.

Seriously, ^ this is coming from a white person who gets to play his "white card" all day long whether he realizes it or not. I wonder how you'd feel if someone snatched your "white-card"...
Unlike you, if something offends me I stand up to it instead of ignoring the issues (specially when it comes to inequality).
I can't expect you to understand what its like NOT to be a white person, therefore to think for 1 second you can comprehend what its like to be a non-white in a white society you've got to be a serious crackhead.
Whats with white people that assume they're down with the races when you know they're not, yet are always trying to define everybody that isn't white?
For a whiteman to define if something is racist or not (especially when it isn't even their race) is way beyond them, yet they feel it's somehow related to them because they invited "some" of the remarks.
If someone called you a crackhead I don't think you'd care, but if someone treated you like a crackhead maybe that would wake you up.

Dude, you seriously have no idea who you are talking to and how I came up. I am willing to bet I crossed as many obstacles as you coming from my dirt poor childhood, buying my own cars and clothes.. having absolutely nothing given to me.. paying my way through school and working 3 jobs while doing it. Not to mention just about everything working against me in the meantime untill I made my own success. So you can save your victim speech for someone else. The difference in me is I dont cry and b!tch and moan about how bad I had it.. rather I said to hell with everyone else and made it MYSELF. I dont stand on the sidelines and cry a river about how I am or was mistreated. Neither do any of the minorities, underpriveledged or handicapped friends I work or hang out with that are more successful than me.. because rather than moaning and whining like you just did they stood up, fought thier own fight and made something for themselves. So waste your tears on someone elses time

You are worse than the "racist" you describe. You my friend are the worst kind of person out there. Throwing your stereotypical "white man" speech at me telling me how "easy" I had it? You are a JOKE Unlike you I dont see a "white card" "black card" or any other such nonsense. I see people, and am not so painfully thin-skinned that I have to cry to the world at the drop of a hat.

And before you go on another waste of breath.. please save your namecalling (racist) for someone else. You dont know me, where I came from, my nationality or who I associate with. Again, I dont see race, I see people, which is another reason I could care less if someone like YOU has a problem with white people.. cause it seems in here you are the one with a race issue son. I dont think I went off the deep end categorizing everyone in someone elses race like you just tried to do to me now did I? Now whos the "racist" ?

I cant believe I wasted my breath on such a lack of educated mind.. but damn you run your mouth too much.

From the statements you just made, it sure sounded like you were b!tch'n and whinning about how bad/hard you had it... "trying" to relate to the races i guess... Typical...
I don't expect you to comprehend, but for you to assume you do is not only an outrage, but is quite offensive to all the people who've had hardships you couldn't even fathom. Try picturing yourself and all your hardships in your life but in the shoes of another race, only than can you only begin to guess how tuff it must be.
You claim me "crying" about inequality is simply LOL funny. I'd bet you'd claim MLK and strong people like him "cryers/b!tchers... for rising up against you suppressors".
On your same token, you have no idea where I come from nor what race I am, and quite frankly I find it funny you had to add that little phrase about "...minorities, underpriveledged or handicapped friends...that are more successful than you..." Even within your own statements you've stated your "minority friends" needed to fight through the hardships to be successful. So either all your "minority" friends are more successful than you, or you failed to mention the ones that weren't as successful.
You fail to realize that however hard you had it, it was still easier for you because of race (aka the "white-card"). You can't deny its going to be tuffer for a "minority" to get the same position as you would in the U.S.A. (assuming both having identical backgrounds & sometimes even if the "minority" has better credentials).

If you TRULY "see" people and not by race - like you "claim", than we wouldn't be having this argument because there would NO need to label people "ricer(s)".

I never said no one had it harder, easier, etc.. YOU read that into things which is why I brought up how I had it. I wasnt crying, I am proud of how I had it, it made me a strong, self reliant person.

I never said ANYTHING about different races having struggles or anything of the sort, and if someone around me is being mistreated, wronged, etc because of race, nationality, handicap or anything of the sort you can bet I would be as outraged as you could ever know. Again, I dont see any reason anyone should be treated any differently than anyone else unless they have done something specifically to deserve it. Note that part very well.. cause I have done NOTHING to you or anyone else to be on the recieving end of any of your comments.

YOU are the one labeling me as something I am not and trying to say I had it so much better cause "I am white".

You dont try to fix the problem, you try to separate yourself from anyone not like you and "blame" them because you percieve they had it better than you.

I dont see why you are this way.. but it is just plain stupid. No one on here that I read every downplayed the issues that are out there or ignored them. I just cant stand when someone has to turn something into a "racist" thing when it isnt. If the guy comes on here and posts that he called asians "ricers" then I would call him an @$$ just as quick as I call you one for running your mouth trying to make something of me I am not.

And by the way, I respect MLK because he had respect for ALL types of people, white, black, asian etc. And fought against things when they were actually happening. You spouting off that everyone is racist in a conversation that started so far from that it is pitiful deserves no respect from me. Dont try to put yourself in the same realm as great men like him.. it only disgraces yourself.

I am sure you will go on and on saying how I dont care, am a racist, or other such nonsense. But I think I have said all I need to say for those adult enough and intelligent enough to understand. If you want to think of me or other random people as "racist" for no reason then go right ahead.. it is your own time. I know what I am and it shows to everyone that takes the time to know me. And I respect all that deserve it.... you just dont in my opinion.

Right back @ you ;)
To say or even think this country is fair to all races is ridiculous, especially when its run by a 90% white government that is surely determined to keep it that way for as long as they can...
It's an unwritten rule that white people have it easier than any other race in the U.S.A. Everyone that isn't white will knows what I'm talking about first hand.
In NO way am I caiming to be some type of a MLK, nor would I dare too. I am merely illustating that when ever someone strong enough to challenge the majority arises, people instantly oppose it no matter what.
To say you've had hardships in your life doesn't give you a "ghetto-pass" and allow you the capability to understand supression or racism. Quite frankly, whitemen who "claim" they've dealt with the depths of suppression, hardship and racism are the stupidest mother-F***ers (which I refer to you as).
Don't claim you know what it's like, when you've got no clue. People attacking me over my position is just like any other day to me and most any other person of race. Freedom of speech is everyone's right in the U.S., but if your going to catagorize a people as "ricers" or ANYTHING else, just know that this type of thinking is the problem.
