the past few day i started taking my car to work. i commute 50 miles each way and on the way to work, i noticed a small rattling sound that only occurs when i step on the gas. then on the way home i realized it was the shifter and the rattle would go away if i rest my hand on the **** leaning it forward. if i let go, it would rattle again. anybody else have this problem? is this something the dealer would take care of? i never had a new car or warranty before this.

I would take it in to the dealer for sure, explaining the exact conditions. But make sure its not a freak accident, like you didn't fully engage the gear or something.

 

Mine did the same...delearship fixed it...i believe there's a TSB out.

 

i just checked the tsp, the shifter assembly was supposed to have been replaced after vin number that ends in 50016119 and mine is 50029588. i guess it means the tsp doesn't apply to my car?

 

I noticed the exact same thing on the way home from work last night. I wasn't overly concerned about it, but I did take pause.

 

its really no big concern but its annoying hearing it rattle.

 

Dude you have a 50 mile commute, that sucks major ___. How long does it take?
