as a proud owner of both a 2005 tc & a 2007 SI I can honestly tell you guys I love them both! the tc makes a great dd to beat up & the SI a nice project (gotta love that k20) I bought the Si after my rsx-s was smashed by a drunk driver.
To the op, like others have suggested continue to make ur research & decide what best fits ur needs. As for performance the Si will win hands down. The tc needs to have some form of FI to match up w/ the SI. Low-end power is lacking but if you know how to drive the car it is not much of an obstacle. here is a vid (posted by rhythmnsmoke) of a supercharged tc (9psi pulley) & other goodies not being able to walk a lightly modded SI (w/ the hondata reflash things would have been very different) http://youtube.com/watch?v=dNKaOD86wOE
In all do ur research & good luck w/ ur decision!

A turbo in the tC will roast an SI.

i gotta agree with you.
If you are scared to rev your engine, the Si, S2k, and type S isn't for you.
I honestly think the corolla XRS is a freaking good package. Somewhat toyota engines just feel more reliable than Hondas, although i own one myself.

I find NOTHING funny about people losing jobs they've had for decades. A man coming home to tell his wife and kids that he no longer has a job is one of the hardest thing to do.
Wake the fúck up you ignorant moron.

Because you're still too ignorant to realize it was a joke.

Most of Toyota/Honda/Subaru are American made.
The Camry, Car of the Year, one of the most reliable high quality cars... are American made.
I'm sure you're aware of that
I'm sure you're aware of that.
Personally, I really like the si. I test drove it and it felt great. I raced my friend in his si (I/H/E) and I barely beat him...and i mean barely. They are both great cars and ultimately your the one who is going to have to live with your decision. So go test drive them, add up the numbers and make your decision.
Good luck!
Good luck!

^^^Wow, they must have advanced robotics... it even looks human.
This is why Toyota and BMW are considered imports and not domestics regardless of where they are assembled.
But where a car is made is determined where it rolls off what assembly line. In many toyota's case, that's the U.S., so they are AMERICAN made.
I'm sure you're aware of that.

I traded my 05 tC auto for a new Si sedan. The si is faster stock for stock. My tC costed about the same as my si after I added the 18's, ground effects and had the sub put in, just a slight bit cheaper. Si definitely handles better and pulls harder after 50mph. My best time in my Si is 15.09 and that was completely stock. I still don't have any mods yet but after christmas that should change. Should be high13s to Low14s with I/H/E and reflash. I loved both cars. Just needed something a little more practical. Btw my tC usually got around 25mpg and no more. My Si gets around 30 with almost 35 on highway cruises but that is on 93 octane. The interior seems better put together on my Si, not as many rattles, yet. I have almost 13k on Si now. Btw I love having trunk space.
To be honest......my first choice in car wasn't the Tc but the Si because I'm just a honda guy. What stop me from getting the new SI was the dam insurance quote I received. Then again I don't mine driving the Tc.
