I have 70,000 miles on my 06, should I have replaced or resurfaced my rotors when I replaced my FRONT brake pads? They are squealing more than ever (when braking between 25-40 MPH, and I am sure they have a nice amount of brake lube, and were broken in with care.

Don't know how much this will help, maybe a start? Just need to figure how take off the tab left over.

Searching online seems one might have to take a razor to the adhesive holding the tab to the glass. There's also risk of cracking/breaking the windshield removing the tab and/or the leftover adhesive. IDK though, haven't really taken a good look at the mirror.

Don't know if this is the right place to post my question - mods, admins, please move post as needed.

I had a question in regards to the side view mirrors for our tC's. My passenger side mirror got banged up when parking on the left of a one way street - amazingly, its not dangling by wires - only the plate covering was cracked. Even the mirror is still intact!

I found the OEM side view mirror assembly replacement instructions from TRDsparks.com, so I don't have too many questions in regards to install. While looking for Toyota OEM side view mirrors, I decided to see what else was out there for aftermarket side view mirror's for the tC...

Have any of you used any aftermarket side view mirrors? I've only sourced:

How do you like the durability and quality of these housings? Are they easy to install? Are they a solid install? Sometimes aftermarket parts have a flimsy fit, and I definitely do not want that. I guess what I'm looking for are review of aftermarket side view mirror assemblies.

Any reviews would be greatly appreciated! If this kind of thread is going on elsewhere, please direct me to it so I can read the info/post questions.

I dont wanna start a thread on this so I'm posting here.

My question is that I plan on lowering my car (on racelands, what can I say the USMC doesn't pay much to PFCs) and I'm wondering if I should remove my finder liners. I'm on stockies for now so I understand I won't need fender rolling but would it be better to remove the liners if I plan on maxxing the coils?

It's probably a good idea.. otherwise you'll hear alot of rubbing. If your running 215s you'll be better off. Fully lowered w/1 perch on 225s and its sitting on the liners

RY_TC07. I like the ones from dash I think... I like how it has the arrow behind the mirror as well.

i have a question i was hoping that someone could help me out with if i was planning on running an aggressive stanced tc, and be lowered really low what type of things can i do to protect my axles,boots,lines, etc.. from being damaged? any thing else that i missed?

Thanks for the feedback diskfunktional! I was eyeing those too. The only reason why I was considering the K-source ones was because they have the ability to fold back (which is useful if you park streetside often on a busy street)....man!

Anyone else have any other opinions? Thanks!

Alright anyone buy Nokya bulbs for their headlights? I want to buy a pair of yellow bulbs but am not sure of the difference between the two. Both cost the same on sale but one has a more expensive retail price.

It looks like the hyper yellows are a higher wattage bulb (65W) vs. the arctic yellows are a bit lower (55W). Judging by those values, they can potentially be much brighter depending on the power being delivered to the bulbs. Just my $0.02.

So I have ebay vrds and im going on a long drive down the interstate in like 3 weeks. My worry is that the glass is going to crack or shatter from a rock or something. Any recommendations on preventing this from happening with out removing them? Thanks guys

if your really that worried about it, cover them with cardboard and tape the whole shut with painters tape, if that makes any sense. Obviously leave them off while theyre covered though.

you don't think its necessary to cover them? I thought i saw somewhere on the forums that someone had this happen to there fogs but thanks for the idea yellow

ive driven up and down nj turnpike and gone to different states and ive never worried about mine cracking, i have a yellow vinyl over my vrd's

A rock on the way to work can easily do this just like a long drive. If you're worried about running them imo, then don't have them. Honestly I say drive the trip with them in, don't worry about them breaking. Plus ebay fogs are relatively cheap if something does happen.
