Are you talking about the VRD fog lights from Ebay that fit where those two plastic covers are on either side of the bumper? If that's the case, you might be able to improvise some chicken wire to act as a "bullet proof vest" so that the chicken wire will take most of the damage from a potential rock impact rather than the fog lights....
I've had my VRD fogs on my car for about 60k miles, and I've driven on plenty of highways/freeways with no damage to them yet :knock on wood:
Just my opinion, but I think you'll be okay!

They will work but not as well and you will have to modify them depending on what years you are swapping.
The non airbag pillars are held on by regular clips, same ones used to hold on all the other interior panels.
the airbag pillars are held on by those same regular clips in addition to one huge piece of metal that is attached to the pillar and goes into a special clip which is attached to the body of the car. These clips are made to break when the airbags go off or if you remove the pillars.
So yes they should work in your car without any modification since you are looking to go down in years not up, however, idk how well it will stay since it wont have that one main airbag clip.

Hello everyone,
Last week, I purchased a LED tail lights for my 2010 tC. I took my car to the shop for installation. Technician told me he could not install them because of the wiring problem. I hope some of you can help me out.
The problem is...the tail lights do not work together with the brake lights. However, the signal lights work fine. After plugging all the sockets together, technician turned on the light, the tail lights are on, technician put on the brake, the tail lights are supposed to be brighter; however, tail lights are off. He then switched the sockets around and turned on the light, now the tail lights don't work, he put on the brake, the tail lights are on.
I contacted the seller, Sabersport, from ebay and told him the problem. He told me to ship them back and would send me a new pair. I requested him to mark the wire so the technician can install them easily. The seller told me the green wire is positive and the black wire is ground. He told me the technician does not need to modify anything, he just needs to plug them in based on the color of the wires. It seems easy, doesn't it? Well...
Today, I received a new pair, took them to the shop. The technician tried so many ways; however, the same problem occured.
Here are the wire colors of my car and LED tail lights:
- 2010 tc: tail lights/brake lights socket has 3 wires: solid green, half green/half white, and half white/half black.
- LED tail lights: tail lights/brake lights socket has 3 wires: solid green, half green/half white, and solid black.
The technician and I figured out that, solid green wires must go together, the half green/half white wires must go together, so whatever left is half white/half black wire should go with solid black wire. Unfortunately, we could not make the tail lights work properly. Did we do anything wrong? Did we switch the sockets around back and forth few times and accidently damaged the LED light bulbs? Can anyone please tell me what went wrong and how to fix the problem?
I'm looking forward to hearing from all of you.
Thanks!

if they are plug and play they should use the same bulbs as the stock lights...
take the harness off the ebay tails and just use the OEM harness that already in the car. Just twist all the bulbs out of your tailights, take the tailights out, put the new tailights in and twist the bulbs into the new tailights. (obviously make sure the fit before you do all that work though)

Two quick dumb questions:
Will a short ram intake (i.e., the Weapon-R Intake) void my warranty?
What is the risk of a short ram causing an issue with my engine, if installed correctly?

In order for anything to void your warranty Scion has to prove that whatever issue you h ave was caused by aftermarket parts, so in terms no, it shouldnt.
And if installed correctly you should no have any problems.

So I purchased a supercharge kit on scionlife 3 months ago for 2000 and I decided I didn't want it anymore, I sold it 3 weeks ago on ebay for 1000 so I figured I was only 1000 in the hole, the packages were delivered to the recipients yesterday and they messaged me on ebay saying that they were stolen, I had the packages insured for 1000 but didn't require a signature on them
and now I don't know what to do, does anyone have any experience with this? Im willing to pay them their money back as soon as I can come up with it, I just am wondering if there's anyway to not be out 2000 for something I didn't even get to enjoy.
Any help is appreciated.
Also already filed a claim with fedex.

Thanks diskfunktional and yellowxhoodie! I had to took my car to a different shop in San Jose, CA. After 30 mins, the techinician told me that LED tail lights does not have the right color wires. The LED tail lights' green/white wire must go with my car's green wire. The harness of the LED tail lights were set up incorrectly, so the technician had to cut the wires and weld them. He did a great flawless job. I like the tail lights alot, fitment is perfect except the wiring setup that caused me extra bucks.
