let me give you a little hint.
i spent less than $1200 on 17x9.5 +17 Work XD-9's WITH tires.
check out nasioc and other forums that have cars with 5x100 bolts patterns and get yourself a nice set of used rims that are higher quality.
if you dont like the color, you can always have them powdercoated.

I hope this is ok to post here. I looked at a 2006 tC today for 11,997 with 37k miles, the car seemed great except for some pretty dinged up rims. I had a bad experience with damaged rims causing leaking air and such, and I was just wondering if you guys think this is strictly cosmetic damage, or could bumps and pot holes (I live around New Orleans, roads are HORRIBLE) cause a problem with these rims in the future? One gouge was pretty deep, and had a matching chunk out of the side of the tire as well. All 4 rims had some sort of pretty noticeable scratches (which is a little concerning because that makes me think it was dogged out by the previous owner ). I've been searching for a tC in my price range and I'm getting so sick of waiting, but I really don't want to buy something that could cause me unnecessary $ in the near future.
car in question if your curious: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...alse&aff=cinci
Pics (sorry, from a cell phone, I hope they're clear enough):

Opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

just looks like some really bad curb rash.
i wouldnt let that deter you from buying the car as long as everything else checks out ok.
you can always sand them and repaint them whatever color you want, and theyre just OEM rims so theyre not that expensive, you can find plenty used sets on CL or at junkyards.

So, this question isn't necessarily for the tC, but the xA forum is dead. I installed an HIDEXTRA kit in my sister's xA, but now every time she turns her lights on the gauges go crazy and the car stalls. Anyone have any ideas?
Ive installed several kits for some side money, but never on a xa. All the kits I've iinstalled have never had any problems. Yet I am installing a kit on a newer dodge ram and he claims they have similar problems. You might just need to installl a relay on it if there isn't one already,But I m not positive. if its not that then idk what it could be. Hope this helps

If I am understanding correctly, this uses straight battery power to run the HIDs and the headlight switch inside to run the relay for the HIDs?
I assume by removing the power draw of the HIDs the problem shouldn't persist?
ok well 1st takes of fine 2nd wont go and it sounds throtly unless i WOT it then it will go. third and on go fine. what i feel is a slight jerkyness on 2nd not to dramatic unless i floor it
^^ That is what I recommend. Idk what size ballast you have but the 35 watt uses less power than the larger 55watt. The relay is there to relieve the power draw from the use of your headlights. I have not installed one so I'm not 100% positive on exactly how it works but that is what I picked up listening to others. The setup seems very straight foward based on the picture and the relay is not very expensive. I think this should fix the problem. Check the xa forums and see if any1 else had that Issue
