The fact is that out of 38,309 fatalities in 2002 only 135 were street racing accidents. Lets be realistic, thats .0035%. Again, while i don't approve of street racing there are much more dangerous things on the road than a kid in a "2900 steel and glass bullet."
Better study up on the math before posting something like this up...

Although the number of deaths are lower overall dosen't mean that it isn't a factor...

A baseball team who plays 20 games a year loses 8 game vs a team that plays 200 a year and loses 50... Which team is better?

You have to consider there are WAY more large trucks on the road on a dialy basis than street races taking place...

If we broke down how many trucks drive each day in the nation vs how many street races are conducted dialy, you'll probably see like 500 / day and 130ish deaths / year vs 100K trucks / day and 4K deaths / year...

Lets stay on the tracks... Or at least crash into meth labs...

Just think how much cheaper the Mustang could be if Ford did not spend a zillion dollars on advertising the Mustang!! Seems like every other ad I read or see is the Mustang.

common man! study your own math. if there are 500 street races conducted a day
( and I guarantee you there are way more than that) you come up with 182, 500 races year! with only 132 deaths thats an even less percentage.

.0007 percent of street races end up in a fatality, whether a passenger, bystander, or driver. Remember, that stat is on the official NHTSA site. This stat is not related to speeding deaths. This is the amount of people that died or were hurt during a street race, not by speeding to walmart.

500 races a day is VERY conservative too. I would wager in the Los Angeles/ San diego areas alone there are 500 "street races" per day.
