Pebble Beach houses are in the $Millions, Pacific Grove, you may find something for $500-700,000 ( keep in mind about 15 years ago, PG houses were worth didly squat).

My apartment outside Berkely/Emeryville was $1700/month for 1300 sq ft. Even in Bakersfield my friend paid $280,000 for a 1400 sq ft house., which is nowhere near as nice as Monterrey. No doubt those houses are well over 1 mil considering the location on the Pacific ocean.
