doing a synthetic oil change is the same process as a regular oil change right?
drain oil completely, fill with new oil 4 qts?

i kno retarded question but i always wanted to do synthetic oil change
but the reason i don't is because my friend paid 75 dollars for synthetic oil change...
so i was wondering if it was a different process

mobil 1 5w20. you can change it every 10thousand miles if you want, i always go to 5 thousand even though some people say im wasting my money.

i heard for the first oil chang to use conventional mobil 1 5w-20 so on my next oil change use mobil 1 syn 5w-20 right? shouldnt cost much more?

and what oil filter? mobil 1 too?

 

you can use a mobil 1 filter, expensive tho, and what i used.
many say you can use (and prefer it over mobil 1) the toyota filter. you can get a pack of 10 from trdsparks.com for $35.

 

08 tC is 5w-20
-07 tC is 5w-30

mobil 1 is best oil

 

Mobil 1 syn. 5w30, toyota brand filter since 1st oil hange. I currently have 47,777 miles w/ no isues. I change mine every 3000 is that too soon? I would rather be safe than sorry.

 

If I do ever go synthetic I'm not doing it till after the 2 free oil changes from the dealer

 

i have an 07 and my manual says 0w20 for really cold temps or 5w20 for normal temps

 

3000 with synthetic??? way to early lol i thought it was every 8-9k so the earliest i would do it would prolly be 7.5k

we use 87 gas until we get boosted right?
