The plastic interior is so easily scratched by merely touching it with your fingernail I'm afraid to touch it at all. I shudder to think how it will look in 3 years.

Man I did the same thing on day 2? Any idea how to prevent this?
Line the inside of your car with bubble tape?

Rear Moonroof cant really open the way the car is designed.. and you can still see out of it in the back, which is its main purpose back there.. so it is not useles. And how could they have created solid sunshades? There is no way to do that with the dual moonroof design and the space provided.

Its seems to be exactly 1 inch extra material on the left and this causes that goofy slack.
Mine is like that too. But i know for a fact that it should be pulled tight on both sides. I saw it like that one another tC. I tried taking it in for service, but I don't have 3 hours to waste while the guy removes the entire seat looking for the defect.

Also about the trunk release: mine unlocks/locks with my after market alarm.

- Don't like rear hatch water channeling (doesn't work!)
- Don't like lack of passenger seat memory
- Don't like all those damned rattling sounds

if you recline your seats all the way its less noticeable, also it makes a perfect holder for a pool cue!

you are tolking about the top "deck" over the trunk right?

The paint needs to be better as the chips just drive me crazy. I would have prefered a **** instaad of up/down buttorns to control the radio volume. And I think a more sleek looking shifiter would make the car look nicer.

I can live with everything in this car but the gearing. The gearing absolutely sucks.

I'm sure you can nail 29 mpg while driving in gimp mode at 55 mph or whatever. But hop on the freeway in a major city and try to get somewhere going 80-85 mph and the mpg drops like a hot potato because you're cruising at almost 4K. If they come out with a 6th gear or better ratio's in the next few years I will be super-____ed.

I was really attracted to the gas mileage that this car got on paper as were a lot of people. But if I would've been able to take this car on the highway during the test drive I might have reconsidered and gotten something different.

If you were buying for fuel economy, then you should not have bought a tC. Changing the gearing would ruin the performance of the car. The gearing is perfect for getting the best performance out of this engine. 6th gear would be nice, but the gearing is perfect in my opinion. And I get right at 30 mpg when I visit family, which is a 9.5 hour drive at 80mph all the way. Also, I see a lot of people complaining about things that are evident in the test drive. If you hated the gearing (not a minor thing on a car) then why buy the car???

Yeah. What do you mean by reclining the seats? Wouldn't that make both of the top decks have slack? You do admit that this is a mistake made by Scion right?

^^^^^^^Ya i do admit its a mistake. i was merely noting that with it fully slacked and the seat reclined that it bothers me less because you cannot notice the imperfection as bad, also it makes a great holder for my pool cue!

Sadly I didn't get to jump on the Florida turnpike on the test drive. But don't misunderstand me either. I like this car a lot.

But since when is having more gears a bad thing? And ruining the performance of a car? Usually cars with gigantic powerbands don't need many gears. But with sport compacts with narrow powerbands like the Tiburon, RSX-S, the more gears, the better. More gears keeps the car in the powerband better.

stock suspension isn't too impressive, and engine could use a little more power. mainly suspension that bothers me though. too much body roll and understeer.
