If you are waiting until the light goes on, then that is about 25 MPG.

I get 21-22 MPG with mostly freeway type driving, but main reason thats so low is my supercharger and my heavy foot..... lol oh well I love my baby!

I average all my tanks together today and I got 23.7 mpg. I've been driving city 98% of the time though, so I guess the gas mpg estimate city-wise is correct on our dealership window stickers (at least for me).

I hate to brag but I have only a few mods like a cold air intake(secret weapon) and exhaust(cherry bomb) and on a trip from Pittsburgh, PA. to Newport News, Virginia. I got 557 miles to the tank and I then filled up because i was scared of running out on the road. I don't know how much further i woulda gone, but i wasn't chancing it. Maybe i got a one of kind tC or something but It was about 39 to 40 mpg, Cruise the whole time set at 70mph and it was overnight so no traffic and a little cooler temps so the engine probably ran a little more efficiently. And even when I romp on it all day i still get about 29-32 mpg. Just lucky i guess!!!!!!!!!!

After I switched to Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic I received 33 mpg on the highway ~80mph with AC on.

OK, OK, I guess i'll tell my secret to a few fellow tC owners, but i try to keep it hush hush. I like to always have one up on other people, but i kinda feel bad bragging here!! I also have the 9lb. Fidanza flywheel... And trust me its worth every penny, mine was $400 plus install and its already paid for itself in gas, i've had it for about 9 months!!! Wouldn't trade it for anything!! Think about it.

I used to get 24-26 city and now i get 32-34
and i got 29-30 highway and i have actually hit 42 mpg ONE time, but repeatedly get 38-40

You silly 1-uper, you. That will require some proof. I will never believe that.

My car repeatedly gets around 18mpg city and maybe 21 hwy (if I'm really kind to her I can get 25 hwy.) That's turbo'd - but before when I had just my clutch and flywheel I would get an average of 28.

The BEST I have ever gotton was 31.1mpg and the worst I have gotton was bout 26mpg. To get 31.1 mpg I drove so damn slow it kinda made me laugh and to tell ya the truth I got passed by a student driver on 35E going to work. I know what I can get now and don't care to drive like that again. I was happy when I made it 370 miles and the light had just come on.

I really thought about the supercharger but paying for premium would suck AND you lose a little in the mpg area. If I want to go fast I would just buy a fast car.

Why would a lighter flywheel cause better gas mileage?

A lower rotational mass means the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn, which gives you better fuel milage.

I did some research and everywhere said the same thing. For a rotational mass like the flywheel, every 1pound you removed is like taking 20 pounds out of the car (different comparisons depending on what rotational masses you are talking about) , therefore the flywheel is 9 pounds instead of the stock18 or 19, so it's actually like taking 200 pounds out of the car. I'll take a pic of my "trip(A)ODO" tonight for STREETER who doesn't believe me but it the best "proof" i can give, its my word. I swear this is the truth i am at 350 ish and still have a little more than a quarter tank. I'll post the pic either late tonight or early tomorrow! This was topped of with 89 octane from sunoco gas and driven city and highway, and definately not babied, i drive 80 miles a day and I redline regularly !!!!!

Also like i said, i have a secret weapon intake with two homemade ram air kits, and a full exhaust from the headers back, thats makes a big difference too! I'll post some pics if you promise not to laugh, lol. I used 3" and 4" dryer vent hose for the ram air, but it works amazingly well!
