Ok so here it is, first of all sorry but my camera SUCKS!! its a $30 walmart camera so i don't expect perfect pics. The first pic is of my engine bay with the weapon r and two (homemade) ram air kits. The tubing off the right side of the filter is 3 inch dryer hose and is attached to the front bumper in the bottom grille insert (shown in second picture) and the tubing coming off the left side of the filter is 4 inch dryer hose that runs behind the radiator and under the car to a wide open expansion piece, i'm not sure what its called but it takes 4 inch round hose and makes it 4 by 6 rectangular. (as seen in pic 3)..... Notice in the first pic i also have header wrap, that seems to do a good job of keeping temps down under the hood, maybe a little more efficient??

And for the mileage, like i said my camera sucks a$$, and would not focus but this is the best i could get, I had 418.8 mi on the trip meter and the warning light had not lit yet. You can kinda make out the "4" but thats it.(as seen in pic 4)

I got gas this morning and was at 465.7 mi and was just touching the bottom line on the gauge.

Lately I've been getting 27 highway, 22 city. I'm always below epa, and I drive speed limits, etc. Ohwell.

consitantly 30-31, mostly "highway", but actually just a long drive on back roads to work. Was happy to see that it didn't change much with the blizzaks compared to the stockers.

i wouldn't say that i'm not having fun with mine, 95 is a nice speed for these cars, but i don't shift above 3500-4K usually.

not really a secret. its the Highway driving that the tC is really efficient at, IMO.

I did a 600 mi trip this summer and average speed was about 90 and i got 30mpg.

Somehow I don't believe your average speed was 90. I wonder what your mpg would have been if you only went the speed limit or maybe 10 mph over? Maybe you would average like 50mpg

i did a 500 mile trip (1000 round trip). was free and clear on the way up and raining cats and dogs on the way back. on the way up i was around 85 most of the time, got about 32mpg. on the way back, cuz of the rain, only got about 28. for the entire trip was just over 30mpgs. so yea, they are pretty efficient on hwy. oh, fyi, the AC was on =P

That's why you don't hook up the tubing directly to the intake. The filter should take care of it.

I plan on doing this same thing. Convert the Injen CAI to short ram, buy the Kaminari reverse cowl hood, dremel those non-functioning air vents, connect tubing that leads into the engine bay, and wrap them in head shield.

I average 20mpg. Amateur stoplight racer.

beleive it, i was in a convoy of about 10 scions on a long stretch of basically straight flat road.
i can probably find my gas receipts.

I did 9 laps at the Texas motor speedway going 90/95 (exept a bit slower at the corners, those things are harsh!) and i still got 28 or so on that tank and that was racing.

my avarage for normal driving is 25mpg.

and if you want imma be making that same road trip again in June i can catalog and picture the entire thing if i feel like being a real smart ___.
