Who Is Still Here From the Original 2005/06 Posters?

You CA guys are lucky. A vehicle in the Northeast becomes a rust bucket by the time it's 10 years old. Makes it much less desirable. Even my car that's been well taken care of doesn't look nearly as good from underneath.
I'd say you did good for a car you bought for ~$17k more than 10 years ago!

Pfffft. Bunch of newbs.
(Still own it, still drive it, although I don't put that many miles on it these days. ~110k miles, zero major repairs, and only thing wrong with it is my gas gauge doesn't work.)

Still here and still own the '06.5 xB that I bought new back in December '06 with 6 miles on it, it's sitting at only 86K and will be going to my daughter when she gets her license. I've since added another xB and an iM to the collection.

Still here with my 07 tC that I bought new back in the summer of 06. 123k miles on her. Unfortunately, mine looks less than perfect on the outside due to the rigors of commuting and the fact that it's been hit 3 times by morons (I call it the idiot magnet). One of the repair shop's paint jobs has started to fade, but I can't do a damn thing about it since I moved halfway across the country. I just have to deal with a faded quarter panel. Interior still looks almost new, though!
Currently trying to replace a worn out transmission and debating whether to keep her after I (hopefully) finish the transplant.

I'm here! And so is my '05 tC, which is still rolling in great shape with 139,000 miles. I am still totally in love with this car. I have used it for work since 2005 in city driving and also occasional road trips. The Beast has never failed to start except a couple times when I needed a new battery. It has had no major work, only the sun roof deflector recall and the hatch handle fiasco. She rides safer and better on the Proxy 4's I put on her as soon as the bad Yokohamas finally wore out at 40,000 miles. Her body is dinged a little bit, but someone told me recently "that is still a hot-looking car." There is a bit of wear on the armrest and driver's seat, and the carpet is torn up on the driver's side, but other than that, the interior looks new.
I was one of the early posters here, and got such great advice over the years. I never modded, but learned a lot about it. I bought my tC when I was 53. I'm female and way out of the demographic, but I am a car nut, and I still roll at 65. The people on this board have all been so very welcoming and helpful; there is nothing like a tC enthusiast! From the early days, I remember Engifineer, and many others, some of whom were racers. For some years, I was a member of my local tC club here in Memphis. I loved my car so much and felt it was so safe that I bought my 20-year-old son a 2007, and he still drives it in Oregon. I have a friend who is an aircraft mechanic and knows everything about cars and engines. When he noticed my car recently, he told me what a fantastic car it was, that he almost bought one, and I should drive it until it dies. I am, however, looking to buy a car with more safety features and a bit more room in a couple years, and am considering the Mazda 3 hatchback. I will be crying, though, when they pry my sweet little tC from my grip. It's good to see this board still here.

Series 1 owner with over 200K miles. Just noticed that I need strut replacement. Eighteen inch wheels didn't like potholes so now roll on steelies. On my 2005 tC wheel rotation is measured instead of TPMS
so it is easy to use any wheel yet still have low pressure sensing. Stilll using original stereo head unit but again needs tear down and CD changer relube which is like watch repair. Brake lines upgraded.
Keeping it mostly original.

Wow, I joined in 2003, which makes 15 years ago. We still have our xB1, though it is getting long in the tooth. Sadly, it is the first and last car we have found appealing from Scion/Toyota. A Honda Fit is residing next to the xB in our garage.

I haven't posted on the forums much, but I still have my lovely little '06 tC (got it in 2005). Now with 168k miles, no major repairs. Had to replace my starter once though.
It's now my work commuter driving 70 miles daily, Mon-Fri. It creaks a bit, husband says it sounds like a boat, but it's still peppy!

Heh, figured I'd bump this up again. A year and a half after that post, tC is still going strong. Bought Oct '04, so it's just coming up on it's 14th birthday! Am I the person on here who has had their tC the longest? Never thought I'd keep it anywhere near this long.

Not that old but I'm still here joined in 2010 when it seems Scionlife was at it's peak. I check in from time to time and think about the good old days where things seemed much simpler.
Still have my 2008 Scion tC almost to 150k, has sat a lot the past few years but still my go to car when my daily is being worked on or goes down.
Love the car and unless I am in desperate need for money the car will stick with me until it no longer can go, will get some much needed love soon.

I joined back in 2004. I traded my Metallic Silver 2004 xB in '06 but recently bought a 2006 Blue Onyx Pearl xB and still love it as much as I did back then. I recently added an OEM spoiler, RS tail lights, tinted windows and aluminum door sills.

I joined back in '05, with my first tC. Unfortunately it was wrecked summer of 2016. I picked up a shell 2 weeks later & swapped my turbo setup into an 05 silver tC & it's been my daily for the past 2 years, and will be for a LONG time. I personally love these cars. What other car can you daily w/an aftermarket turbo, gets high 20mpg, and can fit an 8' 2x10 with the hatch closed? lol
