Would you do it? Trade '06 tC for Evo???
Nah...i'm doing fine living where I am. Why find more bills by paying rent. And for us asian folks, our parents don't kick us out at 18. They want us to stay with them. Also, I already got a chick that is much more fine than any other chick.
But, anymore opinions of my situation?

Seriously.
I don't care if your Asian, ___, black, fat or missing your legs - how long are you going to live with your parents?
Sheesh
You asked - if you don't like answers that don't fit into your goal, then you should make the decision in private.

I'll go back and sit in the devil's advicate's chair now....
Yeah...right now I am not sure about how true anything that they said to me. Like I said, I will talk to them again on Friday to clarify everything. I know that $15,000 will go towards paying off my current loan. The leftover from that will go towards the downpayment for the EVO or just for taxes, registration, etc.
And, I'm not planning to lease it.

I will talk to the dealership again to clarify everything first. So far, the deal is pretty good. I will try to haggle the price down to 32,000 and see if they will buldge.

EVOLUTION IX MR SE $34,499
EVOLUTION IX MR$33,499
and the IX se cost lower.
EVOLUTION IX GSR SE $30,499
EVOLUTION IX GSR$29,099
EVOLUTION IX SSL$31,799
the IXse and the Mr se are almost the same except the 6speed tranny,no vortex generator, wicker bill..the IXse also have aluminum roof like the mr; HID healights, red stiched recaro seats, front lip, gunmetal bbs rims are included on SE models IX and MR's. I got the IX se.
and the IX had no gauges on the center panel just like the regular MR do. But you could always put Vortex generator, wickerbill and those gauges anytime.

It was just the EVO MR and not the MR SE. It is my dream, but I just want to know for sure I'll be able to keep it in the next couple of years. They were really pushing me to deal, because yesterday was the 30th and they wanna meet quota or something. I may go back today and they may even sell it for $32,000 and still give me $20,700 for my trade in.
I've been getting hammered from the local Mitsu dealer to come in TODAY to deal.
Today is the day - end of their fiscal year, I believe.
Anyway, go in and hammer them - if you get a great deal, cool, if not, you still have your tC and your smokin' girlfriend

Yep. Today is the 31st and it would probably force the dealership to make me a very good offer. They do have a dozen or so EVOs just sitting on their lot. So, overall, if they can at sell me the EVO MR for 32,000-34,000 with 6.25% APR for 60 months with a trade-in value of 20,700, then do it?
get it bro that car is a beast my boy just got the mr(daddy paid 4 it) the car looks amazing, its fast as *** and the HIDs r the best I've seen on anycar
I rly don't think the mr is worth it its just extra goodies u don't need even the 6th gear isn't that special my boy rarly uses it( although I like the spikes)
n I think u can keep up wit the payments everybody said I couldnt when I got my tc makin only 6k a year n I'm doin fine n keep tryin 2 lower the price they wanna tell the car as much as u waana buy it or try diff dealers my dad saved like 4k by lookin at sevral dealers when he got his armada
good luk wit ur decision tho

Thanks for all the responses guys. I think i'll wait a month or so before I make my decsion. I have done a few mods on my tC. So that may take some time for me to take it back to stock as it can be. I need to get a quote for insurance on the EVO to see if i'll be able to survive first. The EVO won't be going anywhere...so I will make my decision within a month.

No I'd get a Z, but wouldn't trade my tC. I don't buy Mistsu's, though the evo looks good.
Plus if you're asking if you can afford the evo, you probably can't. Your insurance is going to be higher than the tC because 1) you're 22 and 2) it's an EVO. you're talking about a modified car, think about it.

I just got off Geico's website and the quote the were giving me was:
your 6 month policy rate is $2,883.40
That is only $544.64 a month with a low first payment of $724.85.
Payment Options
$724.85 + Monthly Payments.
$724.85 + Three Additional Payments.
Make One Payment of $2,883.40.

That is pretty bad! I guess no EVO for me!

for me why wait for a month. if they are gonna buy it $20k.. and they are giving you the evomr for $34K.go for it.just call your insurance agent first for a quote on your monthly payment..GO for it dude!Don't wait. you may not get the same deal after you wait. Good luck.
