come on TongMan, keep the rs2 man, its a cool looking ride. I love the evo too, but after figuring the cost and everything, how much green will you have left every month for your spending ? little things add up, I'm asian too, and i dont live with my parent. My situation is diferrent from yours. But I understand your desire.

And for the $32,000 used evo with <20,000 miles, Again, I wouldnt really take it. WHy not save more and get the new ?In this case, the dealer may show a good price and stuff, but you still have the ball to negotiate more lower coz they want your business. If not, walk away and nothing to lose. You will thanks the rs2 later down on the road. Good luck !

I'd say wait untill you finish college and start making some bucks to get a new one...I would prefer a new scion instead of used Evo.. you already have Tc and it was new, plus you got S/C i think ?

P.S. your payment is 277..and you got R.S. i'm just curious how much was you downpayment?

No. Correction guys. I'm only talking about the brand new EVO MR....NOT USED! BRAND NEW EVO MR for $34,000.

As for my RS2.0 I made an $8,000 downpayment on it with 6.5% APR for 60 months. That is why my monthly payment was $277. Were you expecting my monthly payments to be more?

Yeah...i've seen it. I don't know if i like that style. the front end is mean but it looks too much like a Mustang or a Charger. Also, the first of the next generation is usually not that good because of minor kinks that they have to work out. I'd rather stick with the EVO IX MR instead. That MIVEC is awesome!!!

i would only buy it if I have the cash.... and I seriously mean cash to pay for the car. I'm not all for that down payment stuff.

Pay for the car in full.

Good call. I was freaking out during winter break because I could not work and my store cut hours across the board the 2 months leading to the break. To make my January car payment I had to ask my fiance for $200. I have to work at least 25 hours a week in order to pay for my car and have a little spending money. This is in addition to school.

Life is not stable so you should not live at the extremes. What happens if you get fired or they cut your hours? What if you want to get married soon? You need a cushion on your bank account. The tC was right at the top of the limit for me to pay it off and live relatively easy.

Want more power? SRT-4 or WRX. They do not cost as much, good speed, and many mods available to make them fast.

Remember, there will always be an EVO, whether it is brand new or a used one from 10 years ago that you can build up yourself.

Right now, I'm paying $277 a month for car payments and $240 a month for insuring my tC. Phone bill is like $25 a month. I don't really have to worry about credit card bills right now because there is no interest until 2009. I owe about $15,000 on my tC.

I'm just starting to do more in depth research of the EVO. I know i'll be paying for premium fuel with the EVO, heck, I'm already paying Premium Fuel for my tC. I've heard that the turbo lag on the EVO is pretty bad. Anyone can chime in about this? And Gas mileage is terrible!
Jesus you pay 240 month for insurance? I pay 150 for three cars full coverage. 06 Corolla, 07 TC, and 93 mazda.

Yeah. I think it's pretty F-ed up too! But I checked many other Insurance companies and they aren't beating that price. It's my policy only though, so that is why it is so expensive. I am not insured through my parents or anyone else. Some people are insured under their parents, so they pay hella cheap every month. Anyone know how I can get a lower monthly insurance payment?

The main reason why I chose the EVO is because it looks way much better than any other car right now for me. The EVO has got the total package. Exterior looks hot; Engine is hot; Interior is okay...not very luxury-focused, but it doesn't really matter to me. The AWD; differentials; everything!

The SRT-4 is nice, but still is only a FWD and i don't know if it'll be a reliable car or not. I just plain don't like the WRX. It's just not my style. I do agree that it is a pretty fast car. I've always wanted an EVO ever since it came here to the U.S.
