when somebody gets this etd with a super or turbo let me know what u think. the vibration and engine noise will all depend on how much dynamat u use and the setting u put it on. the full race setting to me isnt expected to be quiet and luxurious. race setting is exactly what it is. racing cars r a far cry from being quiet. the factory street setting is quiet.

I got mine installed over the weekend.. this thing is outstanding! I haven't tightend it down completely yet.. but I'd like too. I raced a type-S the other night.. just completely ate him up.. this is def one of the best parts installed to date. Very good.

BTW.. I didn't use any dynamat.. it sounds fine to me :?:

good kill....um uh um I mean we shouldn't condone street racing....think the damper helped out on the launch? Did you notice the better shifting, less wheel hop, less torque steer and all the other claims people are making about the product... How is the vibration.. not that noticable huh?

+1 ... This is one of the best reveiws I have seen on here... Paul is also getting ready to review the ZPI turbo kits too!!!Definately can't wait!!! Keisha and the rest of the guys over at ZPI make an awesome kit for the tc's that puts down some very impressive numbers..

Ingalls also has the "rear shock tower" brace coming out soon to help out the rear stabilization of the tc... The damper with the rear brace is going to be a geat winning combo in relation to stiifing the chasis. The rear shock tower requires NO cutting unlike other brands NOR will you have to remove the spare tire...

with it being about 10 degrees here, that damper has gotten noisy as hell. i asked my seller about the noise last week when it was warmer, he confirmed that it happens to his also when it is colder.
but dang, it really cracks loud during startup down shifts and especially in reverse. i wish i could do something to minimize this, i have it on setting 14, which is the second softest setting. i wonder if maybe i could put another oring on the damper shaft or put some dynamatt on it somewhere

Hmmm Its been dropping down to the 40's over here in FLA and I havent noticed anything. Try to Dynamat under the bracket that will help... Also check the placement of your o-rings... Mine where on wrong and it was making alot of noise since I fixed it I really dont hear anything... But this could be because I have Header and Exhaust so maybe they are louder then the bracket causing my to not hear it...

You can use a different kind of o ring from home depots plumbing section.. It is a harder polyurethane that is the same size as the supplied o rings but harder so they do not crack or distort. They are like 50 cents.

What happens with these soft orings is they get smashed on installation or wear after time.. I did this to my etd setup and the noise was gone..Also I noticed on your pic you posted that the installation of the oring could be off...check the third pic from the bottem on this reveiw to see the correct o ring/bolt placement... Try the new o rings I am certain they will work seeing as I had the same problem and this took care of it.Also is that "Loc Tite" on your bolts to stop bolts getting loose? If so make sure that it is only on the bolts itself cause that could cause noises also if you get somewhere besides the bolts.

loctite blue is only on the bolts.
are you talking about the orings on the shaft of the damper or the ones that go bolt>bracket>washer>oring>damper>nut?
i checked my setup and it seems to be in the correct order. i'll try different orings to see if that makes a difference, but it totally seems related to the cold, because it goes away after a couple of minutes once it gets warmed up

The one on the shaft doesn't matter... I am talking about the bolt>bracket>etc..being in the right order.. if that is right definately try the different o rings. I will post up a pic when I get the chance of what the o ring looks like.. home depot has a ton of them.. just bring your original o ring in with you so you have an idea of the diameter..check that loc tite to see if it is on some places besides the threading for the bolt cause that could be a place for noise issues also.
