Default Tein SS-P Front coilover loud thud

Hi everybody
I just installed a set of Tein SS-P coilovers and every once in a while, when i turn my steering wheel all the way to the left or right, and make a turn, there will be a loud thud coming from the from of the car. i still can fit 3 fingers between the tire and fender so there should be enough space. im running 215/45/17 size tires. anyone have an idea what is happening?

thanks for your idea, im just wondering why would the endlink make a loud thud. I did notice that the endlinks changed position due to the coilovers being shorter than the stock struts.

I also have that at times thud/clung sound, especially on an uneven surface. I didnt notice them before. I have 235/18s tires, i dont think its the top bolts though.. I will try to diagnose when i get a chance.. for now you may wanna check is the spring is properly seated

the bolts should be retqd once the car is on the floor. its a simple step ppl often miss. u might get it from a loose spring not seated well but its not as common as loose bolts... u might wana check out the areas adjacent to the end links for nicks are marks which will tell u if theres a bigger problem. function and form coilovers also have this issue... ive fixed it before on ppls cars.

Happens to me all the time on my JICs. I was able to get most of the noise to go away by doing some adjustments. Majority of my noise was coming from the sway bar knocking the frame.

hey everybody, i have figured out the problem, it was loose bolts. the 3 bolts holding the shocks in from under the hood could be tightened more, so i tightened it more and it seemed to have fixed the problem

I get it on my SSPs from time to time too. Usually after backing out of a perking space and turning the wheel to full right lock. Everything is torqued correctly.
