you will probably need a harness for the fogs, scratch that, you will need one. the headlights should run ok but i would (and did) use a relay harness for both. the stock wires going the the lights (fog esp) are a tiny AWG and arent made to draw that kinda power on ballast start-up. they are cheap enough to get and never have to worry about it. as far as mounting the fog ballasts, my driver side fog ballast is near the fuse box and the passenger side one is zip-tied underneath near the coolant tank. 3m tape that come with most kits works pretty well too

I should get pics of my Raptors, did the fender mounting similar to my '06 Pilot, and what Enzie (post #90) & donsun (post #104) did on theirs. I would recommend doing a similar ballast mounting setup.

Sadly DDM did not send me any sticky tape, so just bought some Scotch/3M permanent mounting squares from Staples for like $2. Nice size and holds well on top of the fender.

I was wondering on some of the pics there are spliced wires. I thought most of the kits were plug and play? The kit Im looking at is the DDM rapter kit. Thoughts? Ideas?

Have any Canadians on here ordered from DDM Tuning? Are these HID kits susceptible to duty (especially they seem to sometimes ship from China), and if so how much is the tax? The shipping is already obscene ($36 for a $45 kit) :\

Ordered my HIDs, 3 days later they shipped, they spent 1 day in China, 2 days in U.S Customs, and 1 day to get to Texas. Overall I was impressed as I expected like 2 weeks+ easy coming from China, still need to put them on the car though.

Just lowered my car and the lights are lower as well so is there a way to adjust the beam height?

I wouldn't mess with them. Since your car is lowered, adjusting your projectors back to "stock" height could put them on an upward angle causing distraction to other motorists.

Plus I'm pretty sure there aren't provisions for adjusting the projectors without making modifications.

Default HID flickering

hey i have installed HIDs on my car but theres a problems. When i turn the lights on the flicker. i have to turn them on and off 3 times to get them to work. i realize that the ballast cant handle so much power at once thus casing this problem but has anyone found a fix? i have seen this on the forum but no fix. anyone?

not enough power being supplied to the ballast. You may need to run a relay to draw power from the battery directly.

That is just surprising. I (and many others here) have installed HIDs on our 2011 tC's without needing a relay.

What brand kit do you have?
