Nitrous

Nitrous
I searched "Nitrous" couldn find any info. Just wondering if any one has used nitrous on the tc2 2.5 engine. I've been researching the idea recently.

Lots of people hate this idea, but if you want to do it, just make sure it is done correctly. You could install the $300 safeshot kit and probably be fine but if you wanted to go higher, you would have to pay a lot more. You would want at MINIMUM an RPM window switch which will allow you to set at what RPM the nitrous sprays at. To low or to high can blow up the engine. You would want a bottle heater to keep the pressure good, and ideally you would want a pressure gauge that you could see when you are driving, although that is not at minimum I guess.
I was told by a shop that if you go above a 55 shot, you will need to retard ignition (this was for a wet kit). I would rather run a wet kit because it adds fuel an nitrous, instead of a dry kit where it adds just nitrous and if you could potentially have to make it add in the extra fuel.
For the system I priced out, with install it was going to be just shy of $2000. This sounds pricey but it was for a proper install. It also included, purge kit, bottle heater (might want to get one of those), pressure gauge, window switch and blowdown tube. Maybe some things I am forgetting. I was looking at a stealth setup and I got the idea from a friend to put the N20 pressure gauge where the clock goes. I found this one which would actually fit in the space the clock is in: http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...?idproduct=132 That could be cool if you don't care what time it is. And if you wanna be superrr cooool and maybe ricey get an LED for the purge kit so it comes out colored. I was also going to cover the bottle with a fake subwoofer box :p
