Default Squeeking in Driver's Seat

I have about 2000 miles on my 2011 and I noticed yesterday I have a kind of squeeking noise when I move in the driver's seat or hit a bump. Anyone else experience this yet?

I haven't had any weird noises with the seat yet. Maybe your sitting on a seat troll? lol

Its the dust bunnies that have accumulated over the miles you have driven. A vaccuum should do the trick... Poor bastards will never see it coming

Dust bunnies?? I've only had the car a month! Sigh I wonder if this is something the dealer would correct...I know it's minor but this is my first new car.

Is it all of the time, or just in certain temperatures/times of day? Can you reproduce it whenever you want? Mention it to your dealership and ask them to have a look next time you're in for your Scion Service Boost maintenance. Sometimes a shot of white lithium grease will help lubricate noisy moving joints.

You can go to the dealer at anytime to check on warranty issues. Just make sure you have enough info to help the tech recreate the issue. That will help him diagnose it.

Hear it at certain speeds? Morning/Night only? After the car was sitting around for a while? etc

The more info you provide, the easier the Tech's job to recreate it and the faster it'll get fixed

I have the same issue if i adjust the seat all the way down.
Just raising it a little will stop the sound.
I'm very tall so i need it all the way down...

Will tell the dealer at first service check.

There was a TSB for the first gen about the seat squeak. It had to do with a tab to align the seat in production, seems that may have carried on to the new gen.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Thanks for all your input on this seemingly trivial problem, everyone!

I will try adjusting the seat up a little, but I am tall as well, 6'7", so that wouldn't be ideal. It seems that maybe the squeak happens when it is especially cold outside? (here in Maryland, we have started to dip into the low 30s as highs and 20s as lows).

The sound occurs when I put pressure on the seat back...pressing it towards the rear of the car. It happens when I am adjusting my position or when hitting bumps/sharp turns.

I can recreate it while standing outside the car just by applying pressure to the seat back.

I will post back when I have a chance to allow the dealer to check it out.

Oneshotted, please feel free to post your update to the problem when you take your car in if you beat me to it!

Thanks again anyone!

Yeah man! I'll have to see if the squeaking stops once the heat has been on for awhile and the car has warmed up on the inside. I'll let y'all know!

Update...seat is still squeaking. Even once the heat has been on for awhile and the inside of the car has warmed up, I still have a squeaking.
