I would like to see a shop put a TC with a catback exhaust/CAI on a dyno and see how much can be pulled out of it with the right tune.

Talked to Kareem at world racing. Detonation didn't start occurring until above 350hp. After that, they put new rods and pistons in. I'll probably take his advice and shoot for an hp goal rather than a boost goal. Just going to aim for 340~ ish. With the new turbo I can probably achieve that with just below 1 bar. He said they can get a hold of the pistons and rods for me but not to worry about the stock head. They pulled over 600hp on Rob's tC2 with the stock head.

Just got off the phone with GReddy. They said they were having transmission problems @310hp. So, to get the car to 15 Psi I would have to do some transmission work as well as some internals.

The forged rods and pistons developed by them are still prototypes and need more R & D before they can be sold to anyone. They told me since I'm already pulling 290whp on a Mustang dyno to leave the car @ 12 Psi and I may already be over what the transmission can handle.

So, I guess the 15 Psi is still a long ways away until the products can be released for the public to purchase. Also, I have yet to see any transmisssion modification parts that are available to the public.

GReddy Informeter:

Mostly just got it to clear DTC's without plugging and unplugging a scanner device. The touchscreen is nice and there are other meters that are useful. Pricey, but a good buy.

Wow. I don't know what else to say. So what are your plans for this beast? You gonna race it? Show it? Hide it in your garage? What?

Hehe,

Yeah, I'm sure that's the question I should answer for myself as well. I've done a couple pulls on a private airstrip (it was about 1/2 mile) not far from my area. We just timed on hash marks at the 1/4 and 1/8. The times are irrelevant since they weren't properly recorded. No video sadly, the owners didn't allow it.

I'm going for more engine stability in the car. I'm trying to cover all bases so the thing doesnt blow up. I'm getting a retune on the week of the 1st and just want to break 300whp consistently. Yet, I don't want to go overboard and have trans or detonation problems. I'm getting some pulley squeak also. I need to fix that before moving forward.

Kareem from descendant said OS Giken has a limited slip for the car and I want to get my hands on one. Though, Giken's next shipment isn't until September.

Being my only car and a daily driver, I don't want to push beyond what world racing and GReddy had advised.

Appreciate it P!

Its been a great experience besides the small problems here and there. People here have been really helpful, even inspiring, and its cool that the race shops have a presence here.

After the retune next month, I'm going to be holding off with parts and modding for a while until I can build some funds for it. Well, build funds for that or a new daily driver.

Any ideas for a decently priced used economy car?

I've always been a fan of the G35, and compared to your tC, it's economical.

Did you upgrade from a stock or different aftermarket exhaust? I want the Greddy too. I hate that huge muffler in the back with all the other exhausts!

Upgraded from the Descendant exhaust. The piping diameter on the GReddy is a quarter inch wider.

So what will become of your old Descendant exhaust? ...
