Not a good idea, they must have a flat washer like the stock ones.

How about painting or powder coating the oem lugs. Just make sure they cover the threads.

Buy an extended al. lug, hard annodized of course in the color you want. Cut and grind the conical surface down flat. Then find a washer that matches the ones attached to the stockers.
Also the lugs can be chucked into a lathe at a machine shop and cut down perfectly. Take a stock lug with you to the shop so they know what to shoot for.
Just an idea.

You can't put acorn nuts on alloy wheels. The wheels are centered on the hub not the lugs.

My verdict: It's not safe. DON'T DO IT.

As a kid, did you ever try fitting the square block into the round hole? Same idea here...

Ouch! Yea man major safety hazard. Those big washers on the stock lugs are made to clamp down the stock rims, aftermarket lugs aren't gonna have the same size or shape

Ok either way I just took them off and put the stock ones back on. Thanks guys I saw the difference and wtf was I thinking. Lol the bwr ones had a cut around them from where they were mounted on the rims and not to mention not even torqued to where I torqued them so they were getting loose I'm happy I got this info early so I guess I can hold them till I get my rims.. I'm getting the xxr 526 18x10.5 +20 offset. Will I be able to use these bwr on the xxr???? Thanks guys and to answer Tue original question on this thread DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

The XXR's are acorn style, so you should be fine with the bwr's on there.

18x10.5 +20= another bad decision right there with your lug nut fail. That size wheel is too aggressive to be functional unless you plan on a wide body kit. Bigger is not always better. If your going for looks, that initial smile will quickly fade when you realize you can't drive the car safely or even remotely aggressive. Don't give up an ounce of performance for "static" apeal. Dropping 9lbs. of weight on my rim choice made mine so much more fun to drive. I get compliments on my car's looks almost daily from all types of people. The whole hella flush, poke, tuck, taint tickle and aggressive thing is just over-rated forum and car show hype imo. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with whatever you choose, it's your ride. I just wanted you to rethink your choice.
