That sort of kills me to if it's far away but I will give it a week or two more before I cancel my order since it's not just the time to wait for the part it's not knowing if the part will work and other costs etc. To me it's way out in left field but such is the aftermarket world.

i'm going to have to go with the "won't fit" for the 06 bumper. i had that bumper prior to installing the 05 on my 06 xA and the bottom is even more squared off than that of the 05. style-wise, the 05 is the exact same shape except for the depth dimmensions. i'm still waiting for my price quote for the 05 IST bumper and reinforcement from japan though, so no new information on cost as of yet. if i had to guess, i would say the parts are going to run roughly the same as the USDM prices (about 250) and well for shipping, its anyone's guess on that. the faster you get it here, the more it will cost.

Thank you for your interest in my current project. As of right now I am still waiting on my cost estimate of parts to do the conversion. Toyota of Japan is notoriously slow in replying to my friend Ken at Kinwaymotorsports, but as soon as I get the costs of how much it will be, I will let you all know.

Currently I plan on replacing the following parts to make the front conversion to the ISt

2005 IST front crash support
2005 IST front absorber
2005 IST front bumper cover
2005 IST lower grill (it comes separate from the bumper)
2005 IST fog light covers (i don't currently have foglights so I need them)
2005 IST fender liners
2005 IST front bumper brackets (right and left side)

That should be everything needed to complete the change, but I will probably order the rear at the same time.

2006 IST rear crash support
2006 IST rear fender liner
2006 IST rear lip
2006 IST side reflectors
2006 IST JDM tail lights

Once I get the prices of the parts I will post it all up, shipping is going to be expensive for anything shipped overseas that is large, that is going to be unavoidable. I am trying to cut my shipping costs by shipping this whole group at once to save some money, but my current estimate of shipping costs is anywhere from 400-700 dollars alone.

I will probably get a picture for you all today of the lip up near the car just to show you the problem of fitting it to the 2005 USDM bumper.

yeah, the only thing i don't like is the wait time to get info on the parts as far as pricing and waiting for them to come in.

I hear it has something to do with how the JDM market is so slow. If people need there cars fixed, no problem they take a train or bus since there public trans is so good. Driving is a luxury out there. But I am not sure.

Don't think you would ever have a 8 week wait for an American car piece, EVER. Heh, even is you had it fabricated.

Anyway I had to cancel my order and change my modding plans.

well, i have a rough, and by rough, not but maybe 90% accurate on the final price of this conversion. by the time i wind up ordering all the necessary parts (this is mentioning that the front bumper comes pre-painted the color i asked from toyota) the final cost including shipping will have run me roughly 1400.00

since i'm a good deal into this mod, i will continue and pay the cost to get the rest of the parts. i will be sure to post up pics when it has been completed.

I should be placing my order for the remaining parts required to do the conversion in the next week. The time frame for recieving the parts is early next month, I will post up pics when done. Current estimate of cost is sitting at 1400.00 for the front alone.
