257 miles on 7.5 gallons of gas, average speed 76.6 mph acording to my gps.

32 mpg last tank, 34 this tank. Not bad for getting lost, tied up in traffic and waiting for the draw bridge to open and going with the flow of traffic 20 over the posted limit.

I bet the ket ski I rode got way less. I was full throttle doing figure 8s an turns are very slow in speed vs straightaways on the jet.

 

I get about 37 driving here in the mountains, i'm always heavy on the throttle and going 65 or so in a 55...lol. I still get 36 or 37...when it dropped below that I did fuel injector cleaner, new platinum plugs, and a new purolator air filter and it made a world of difference....i din't do them all at once to see what the effects would be and i got the biggest difference in the air filter alone...so I'd guess that changing to a K&N or some other high flow filter would make a noticible difference in performance and probably slightly more mpg....but not much.
