Looking good man! How's it coming? Also, just a side-note, are you upgrading the wrist pins? (I just skimmed this, I'm at work) I've heard from several guys in the past that their one of the weaklinks in this chain of events. Just a thought while you're there. Any updates?
doesnt piston kits come with wrist pins? i wana do this so bad, but theirs a convertible eclipse thats been in my neighbors yard sitting for years, and im interested in that at the moment, lol. keep us posted.
yes, wrist pins come with the wiseco pistons. build is at a standstill right now because the crower rods i got were of an old design that does not work with the engine unless the bottom of the cylinder wall is notched out for clearance. i'm awaiting paypal to close my dispute with the seller so that i can figure out my next step in obtaining the right rods. the crower rods that are currently in production have corrected this problem. in the meantime, i've got my fidanza flywheel on and found some arp flywheel bolts that fit the 1nz-fe. the arp bolts are M10, 1.25 pitch, and 19mm from the underside of the bolt head. 4.50 each from arp direct. this build will be done in time for summer including the turbo kit. i also am looking into a methanol injection kit too :-D
dropped of the block and crank at fast times motorworks in morton grove, il today. should be about week before they resolve my clearance issue with the crower rods. i've decided to get the tops of the pistons coated with ceramic and that's going to add some time to this project. head will be dropped of next week for port & polish. As soon as I get everything back, I'll start taking pics of the assembly phase. Sorry that this has taken longer than i thought it would take. But I ended up fighting with paypal because of the rod issue and the emanage ultimate i got in this deal was busted. ultimately paypal screwed me even though i have a written statement from crower's vp that the early design was wrong. however, after sending the rods back to crower, they said i have the "correct" design and that they don't understand why they've never had a complaint about the clearance issue. my only guess is that 99% of people that buy the rods drop them and the car off at a shop for installation. the shop has the tooling necessary to make them fit and it never is an issue in the customer's eyes. I'm just a regular shmoe building a motor in his dining room. just a WARNING TO ALL THAT BUY THE RODS!!!! The block will have to be notched/grinded to make them clear.
thanks to all for hanging in.

dropped the head off today for port & polish and valve job. block should be back this weekend and then pistons are going out to swain for coating. have kaaz lsd and koyo radiator delivered. just need to put the puzzle back together and then swap :-D
i forget are you going boost? if not, only have the exhuast side PP'd, i hear alot that on na a PP on the intake doesnt allow for proper fual air mixing becuase its to smooth and loses power, seen a few dyno reports of it to, just a heads upup.
yes, going boost with meth :-D
block is done and i'll be sending the pistons in this week. got my kaaz lsd on friday and it is sweeeeet! turbo, intercooler and blow off valve should be here next week. just need the meth kit and return type fuel system.

what kit are you going with, and what is a return fuel system for? ive heard our car doesnt have it cuz its not needed, why is suddenly needed with boost? doesnt it just relieve fuel pressure in the rail or something?
